Anyone watching profesional sports at this point takes it up the can.
BLM wasn't mentioned in any of Kaepernicks original comments, it was an entirely personal decision.
But attributing lower football viewership to such an insignificant side issue(though important to Colin I'm sure), is ludicrous. Maybe you haven't noticed people losing their jobs, homes, going on government dole, all way up. Who cares about football when you're struggling to pay your bills?

You fucking clowns have no earthly idea how fed up Americans are with your petty horseshit nonsense.
Yes! People are done with Football and the goddamned NBA over their Liberal Optics.
All my life social events have been preempted by the networks Sports broadcast schedule. It's football season and I'm jamming with two avid sports fans on Sundays and Monday nights now.
This was always a huge sticking point of conention with me and them because I was never a huge spots fan. They wont do anything without consulting the season calendar for most profesional televised Sports.
Professional sports has prevented over 40% of the cable viewers from cutting the cord that otherwise would.
I bet over the next year, those holdouts start making the leap, if they haven't already.
The NFL acted like they gave seats and held salutes to veterans out of their own patriotism. In fact, it was all paid for by the Taxpayers via Pentagon money.

I used to watch sports avidly. Grew up playing with friends after school, played basketball most of my life. Then I got married, and had kids. Now, if I'm taking 3 hours out of my life it better be some kind of day trip, party, or event where I DO something. Who has time to sit on their ass all day in front of the TV?
But at least I can relate to sports fans. People who are fans of politics on the other hand... I mean I used to watch wrestling too, but at some point I grew out of being able to engage in something so obviously fake.
Any Rep/Con/Tea that has spent one cent that makes it to any professional sport with black athletes is a
NIGGER LOVER & supporter.

I relate to this. My life is BUSY! If I get three hours to myself, I'm doing something I really want to do or watch a movie I've been wanting to see or play a game or catch up on Game of Thrones or Walking Dead. Watching grown ass men play with their balls is so low on my wish list it's practically nonexistent.
And you're right, the drop in YoY viewership might have more to do with other reasons, like the cord-cutting trend. We cut that sonuvabeetch three years ago and never regretted it. If I REALLY want to watch a broadcast, I have a $12 antenna routed from the attic that pipes crystal clear HD television to my TV in all the regular broadcast channels. Mostly I can't stand watching them now tho because I have no patience for commercials.
The odds of another President coming along that encourages this kind of anti behvior and the companies that stand behind them with secrative incintibe. Is next to nill.
There will be laws passed that prevents the wholesale destruction of this country that Obama has pulled.
These alegience protestors, have pretty sealed their fate. What ever money they have in the pocket when they retire from Football will be the last time they see that kind of money.
They wont get the Marino and Bradshaw corporate spokesmen jobs. People will be repulsed by them and their brand will be recongnized as associated with Obama and the dismal distruction that man has done on this great nation of ours.
Remind me: Why are we singing the national anthem and saluting the flag at a corporate, taxpayer-funded event designed for private profit?

I think it's to remind the people that they live in America, a sovereign nation, and this entertainment was made possible by the laws, protections, infrastructure, and people of this land who stand together in unity.

In support of using taxpayer money to fund more luxury boxes as our roads go to pot?
So are you opposed to the national anthem at these events? It should offend you. You support a candidate who's opposed to the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 8th amendments, and believes that due process should not apply to people suspected of icky things.
This candidate has also flaunted laws governing charitable contributions, defrauded hundreds of contractors, and scammed the little people with a fake university. He leads the same party which has consistently opposed infrastructure spending over the past 8 years.
Don't you vomit at the thought of the national anthem, because it runs counter to what Trump believes?
Hillary Clinton should fly to an NFL game on her Goldman Sachs paid for Jet and kneel (helped by nurses and doctors) with Kaepernik during the singing of The National Anthem & flying of The Flag!!!

Actions have consequences!
Even when they are "trendy" and in line with the leftist narrative. Turns out Joe Sixpack doesn't care for the Leftists or their BLM flunkies and would rather not watch a multimillionaire complain about being discriminated against because he's part black. Fuck you Kocksuckadick!
