what do you think of Mulally as Secretary of State

The purpose of the article and all that data was to show that in real big terms there isn't anything that can be done to take back what technology and world trade has done.

Now if Trump said

I am going to tax and tariff everything, I am going to force the laws of taxation on any company today that has plants all over the world, now that would change the variable all together.

That might not go well with some people and the economy would have to adjust to it. However, from all of Trumps statements so far, it's about current or future departure not the past.

It's not a big enough to create 5-9 million manufacturing jobs

So I am just assuming that there will be some deals made from Trump that can shift jobs around in a company...If the dollar gets weaker you will see some better trade numbers if it gets stronger look for some weakness

But the technology shift and the decline of manufacturing started really in the 1940's which was working from a abnormal low bar compared to the total job sector.

Limits to what a sitting president can do with economics and I fear that too much optimism is being taken in now and the results will not come in ... in terms of creating 5-9 million manufacturing jobs

Trump isn't President yet, you'll have to wait a little over a month before you can officially bash him.

Wasn't a bashing of Trump article, but then again you would have to read it

Kumbaya.

Manufacturing dropped from 19 Million to 12 Million, and I doubt there are that many. Manufacturing is lower by headcount than in 1940, and a thumbnail guess was the population was about 220 million in 1940s.

Kumbaya. Sing that outloud when you sunning and balming.

You're such an Angry old man

Your still butt-hurt over the election and already bashing Trump, even though he isn't president yet and already making good on some of his campaign promises.

Republican here and the Trump Presidency is actually really good for me

See, I want to dismantle you trolls left and right piece by piece

So your children and their children will know how wrong you all were about America

A quote from the article, because clearly some of you haven't read it

I hope this article gives you some perspective on the state of manufacturing in America. We have new President and we should hope for his success, as his success means America is doing great.

On another note, my readers and followers on social media know my love hate relationship with the Anti American bears. These are people who call for the collapse of America every year with worthless economic rants. I hate smoking, but every 15 years I am going to pull out a cigar and take a photo of me smoking it, to make a point that America hasn’t collapsed yet, like the extreme left and right talk about every day. The stock markets are at all time highs and we still have 74 straight months of job gains. Recessions come and go but 24/7 bears always stay 24/7 bears ( Hence the 24 hour fitness shirt for you)

Merry Christmas Bears!!!

Your article totally ignores the massive US trade deficit, which wouldn't exist if we had appropriate tariffs. Furthermore, without the trade deficit, US manufacturing jobs would obviously be a whole lot more than what it currently is. I doubt you are old enough to remember when pretty much everything sold in the US was made here so maybe you just don't understand that there used to be factories everywhere in the US.

Your election prediction, CA location, and posts suggest otherwise.
