Music is subjective, and I like rock bands. Never got Kiss. Maybe I'm missing out, but the whole makeup and outfits seemed cheesy to me. Same with a lot of rock stars in general.

I've been getting a lot of Tool and STP showing up in feeds. Maynard James Keenan and Scott Weiland. Why do lead signers that play no instrument take their shirt off for shows? I mean do accountants show up to work with their shirt off? I know it's attention getting to get girls, but most rock bands it's 80% male fans. Seems slightly gay.

I'm not listening to anything this morning ;)

I see Linda Ronstadt up a few posts. Simply the best female rock singer of all time. Only Anne Wilson is anywhere in the ballpark as far as innate vocal talent. She’s amazing and it’s a bit sad her music is largely lost to newer generations.

Another artist I had never heard of. I collect baseball card and there’s a product I especially love based on the turn of the 20th century tobacco cards. It’s called Allen and Ginter and since it tries to emulate its source product, there’s much more than just sports in it. This year Chuck Ragan of the band Hot Water Music was in it. I pulled an auto and having no idea who he was, I sold it. It sold for $140 which shocked me a bit. I looked into his music and he also do some solo stuff. Can’t stop listening to this song. Not sure what this type of music is called. It’s like if Son Volt or old 97’s had been more influenced by Springsteen.
