I'll bet he made a good husband and they had lots of children and grandchildren--he bought a new Packard in 1927 to celebrate his 80th birthday and he and his wife danced in the roof garden of the local hotel.

If he placed that ad today, he would get married in a jiffy and then his entire farm would get stolen in divorce court.

Or maybe it's a some kind of "fake agent" trap.

"a good set of teeth" -- a necessary description if you're from the South.

However, there's a red flag. He did not say his parents were at least first cousins or more distantly related. It's what they omit that matters.

At least the guy realizes that women are interested only in wealth.

In today's world, it would be called sexist or whateverist.

In addition to a house and a barn and livestock--not bad for 18. He's ahead of most 18 year olds today.

What else would you expect of today's young adults after 150 years of capitalism driving a rich-poor gap and raising the prices of necessities as the costs of producing those necessities goes down? There are consequences of using bad economic systems.

In 1865, any that wished to stake their claim. That's what this country was founded on

Signed into law in May 1862, the Homestead Act opened up settlement in the western United States, allowing any American, including freed slaves, to put in a claim for up to 160 free acres of federal land. By the end of the Civil War, 15,000 homestead claims had been established, and more followed in the postwar years. Eventually, 1.6 million individual claims would be approved; nearly ten percent of all government held property for a total of 420,000 square miles of territory.

Conservative logic: Our system is the absolute worst system in existence, therefore there are no flaws in our system.

No wonder conservatives suck at running businesses. They have no sense of innovation and improvement. They never refine things. They just stick with whatever Stone Age technology they have. Conservatives are incapable of making advancements almost by definition.
