We moved out of a rental recently, and due to them not respecting our privacy during the new tenant search, they got a pretty poor review from me on Yelp. The CEO, if he can be called that, responded back with information from a personal email I sent to him, where I detailed a security risk with people walking on the property unannounced. The side gate, which leads to a very large backyard, has never had a lock. He also included the address, and city. So anyone perusing Yelp reviews who happens to have a penchant for robbery, now has info on a very soft target. I won't include the link since I don't want to spread this information, but was astounded when I responded to his reply through yelp messaging, and he basically blew me off.

I have reported the content to Yelp, and will link once they have removed or redacted the address. This guy has stated multiple different ways that he doesn't care about tenants, even going so far as to say they run an adult baby-sitting service(In a Yelp review/response). As long term renters who have always paid on time, never damaged property, and always respected our neighbors, his comments strike me as odious in the extreme.

Landlords are assholes. Is this news to you?

I would have loaned you my German Shepherd, and a shovel to bury the dead.

When it comes to property management companies, yes. Our problems in the past have always been with individuals, the two previous property management companies we dealt with were outstanding.

It was a quite side street. Not a cul-de-sac, but not a through street to anywhere either. And the neighbors were awesome, so we never really worried about it until SDGE showed up unannounced one morning(see my other thread). Our new place has a very small padlock on the side gate at all times. That way if I see anyone in the yard, I have proof it's B&E and can shoot to kill.

Yelp removed the reply where the "CEO" put the current renters at risk. Here's the link to the business on Yelp for anyone interested.
