Gentle Readers,
It is patently obvious that the Republican Party is required to repeal the AHA and replace it with anything no matter how odorous the replacement may be. Republican Congressional Reps. loudly claimed for more than eight years that they had a good replacement all ready. Now, when it actually must happen, there is no law to replace the AHA. Sorry 10lb, but this indicates that the Republicans are out of ideas in spite of the fact that the AHA is the child of Republican Governor Mitt Romney. This is not mentioned in polite company, but it is entirely true. The AHA is, in truth, a Republican invention.
The Republican Senators who oppose the REPLACEMENT are actually saving the Republican Party and the Conservative Movement. I'm not sure how desirable this is since Republicans haven't had a decent idea for 40 years or more. Their thrust is tax cuts for the wealthy. The Prescription Drug Law is an example. There is a "no-bid" clause so that medicines are not allowed to be bid to lower the price. Pharm Companies loved that one.
In the end, we will require a singe-payer law. This will not only help the poor and disadvantaged, but it will help me, 10lb., ApocalypseF. (is AF actually in the US?) and everyone else.
