We have a real problem in this country with disaffected retired boomers who are tired of just simply posting angry screeds on the Internet and are now taking action.

I'm adding this story to my long list of reasons to prefer visiting Atlantic City.

Also, what about the jack booted cops who acted as judge jury and executioner when they stormed in and cause this guy to kill himself? This is America dammit and we have rights!

The proper move was to run to the nearest court and get a warrant. The fact that they didn't is proof that America is under attack by cops!

Hundreds could die by then. I don't think a warrant is required in the middle of a pursuit.

Police has acted stupidly: to not post snipers on the roofs for this kind of event is a fucking failure of a fucking imagination.

Police response seems fast actually. Reports that it went on for 7-8 minutes. Meanwhile the shooter was elevated in a perfect "bell tower" position. This was premeditated bigly. The guy reportedly had video surveillance installed too.

that was crazy, saw it on the news. This guy seriously planned it. Prayers for the victims and families.

My fear....terrorists will get ideas from this.

How do we know it wasn't CIC? I mean, we know it was 64-year-old angry retiree teaching those "special snowflakes" a lesson...are we sure they have identified the proper suspect?

Could be a Muslim terrorist wannabe.
64 is awfully late in life for something like this. These kinds of things are usually done by the 20's or 30's.

There was a report he had an Indonesian wife, so she could have converted him.

Pretty sure the guy giving the finger to the gunman is the exact opposite of a snowflake.

I'm so not looking toward one more round of:
1 - no link with Islamic terrorism so far
2 - the guy was deranged
3 - The problem is weapons. Let's ban all assault weapon.
4 - Islam is a religion of peace.
etc, etc...

5. White Americans are the biggest threat, excepting 9/11, that their relative portion of White Christian population is immense compared to Muslims, and that the previous record was held by the Muslim 2nd Gen Afghan Refugee Orlando Shooter...

Las Vegas shooter's father was on FBI Most Wanted List for robbing banks in 1968.

Benjamin Paddock went by multiple aliases, like Perry Archer, Benjamin J. Butler, and Leo Genstein, among others. He also called himself "Big Daddy," and was known by his colleagues as "Old Baldy" and "Chromedome," the article reports. He worked as a garbage disposal salesman at the time of his arrest.

Two prior accusations of bank robberies surrounded Benjamin Paddock, but were dropped in court.

Police said Benjamin attempted to run over officers with his vehicle in Las Vegas when they arrested him for the Phoenix robbery.

Authorities at the time said Benjamin was a diagnosed psychopath and therefore, "extremely dangerous." The FBI also reported he had suicidal tendencies.

The Daily Citizen reported one officer in charge of the FBI Phoenix office said Benjamin Paddock was "a glib, smooth-talking man who is egotistical and arrogant."

The suspect's twitter account, which he never tweeted from, had 5 followers. In the past few hours, it's up to 66 78 as fake sockpuppet political accounts are added by both sides to politicize the tragedy.

Here are 2 of his 5 original follows in 2010 before the account was discovered:

The self-reinforcing nut nexus is the flip side of the ability to socialize on the internet.

You got anorexics egging each other on to lose more weight, telling each other that pictures of health weight people are still "Fat"
You got flat earthers and crystal healers networking like never before.

Black guy outraged a white guy is not called a terrorist.
Well, a terrorist, by definition, is someone with a political aim. This white guy may well indeed be a terrorist.

25   anonymous   2017 Oct 2, 12:10pm

I find it fascinating that we are 12 hours in and no clear picture of who this guy was or his motives. No clear pic of his beliefs or politics, no social media rants, no reports of neighbors saying he was a nut, no ex spouse claiming violence, no proof of money problems, guy was a ghost!

Philippines casino shooting in June is a recent example.

The guy killed himself and his intent not known, police claims attempt to steal casino chips, not looking at other motives...
But certainly... casino chips thieves often appear with face uncovered and kill themselves on the spot.

I understand that rooms are available at Mandalay Bay real cheap right now.
30   deepcgi   2017 Oct 2, 1:28pm

So far, this one makes absolutely no sense. The guy’s brother is saying he was not religious, political, or on any medication for mental illness that he was aware of. Then there is the lady and her boyfriend in the crowd 45 minutes before the shooting saying “they are all around us! you are all going to die.”

I wish I could trust the media and the government to shed proper light on it eventually, but I fear they will only show us what they want us to see.

This is why real journalism needs to come back.

There was a time I think when investigative journalism was the norm. Some news outlets still do. On a local level, David Goldstein for CBS 2 in Los Angeles is outstanding.

Deep CGI is just pointing out that a properly independent media functions as an additional check on the govt, but as it's currently composed the media just parrots whatever political party it supports.

Trust me, if guys just spend their lives, fucking hoes and listening to classic rock, no mass murders would happen.

What this guy is ... is a larger scale repeat of the Texas Tower Sniper back in the 60s ...

It would still happen. A ho actually told me(seriously) that there are too many bitch boys in this world.

It takes money to fuck ho's, drink, eat, enjoy sports, gambling...all the shit that men like that blows off steam.

Deficient dudes don't make money, don't get to do the above, and wind up pissed off at the world that they suck so bad.

You have proof positive in a few of the posters here at Pat.net.
