What more proof do we need that selfish and greedy unions cause higher prices.

I thought greed and selfishness are good? Or is it only good when corporations are greedy and selfish?

Greed is good, only for those who can increase the pie. Unions don't increase the pie, they just take a big bite out of it.

So, who increases the pie exactly?

Businesses, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists increase the pie. The useless unions only prevent free trade and efficient markets. Unions don't deserve to get more than others for the same work. They are financial terrorists and nothing else.

Bullshit.

Venture capitalists do nothing but transfer money from one pocket to another. That does not increase the pie.
Businesses typically don't increase the pie either. They may compete so one businesses share of the pie goes up, but another's share goes down to offset it.
Entrepreneurs typically do the same. They start a new business and steal customers from somebody else.

The pie grows exactly at the rate of increased efficiency. Which is almost always small. Unions, when run correctly, are a great thing actually. Labor needs bargaining power against ownership more now than ever. The best thing that could happen to this country is if more $$ go back to labor and less $$ getting fed to owners.

Creating something should be rewarded more highly than paying someone to create something. Creativity and Ingenuity should be valued. Being born into a rich family should not.

Ant it's entrepreneurs, businesses and venture capitalists that value it, because it increases the pie and the profits.
May I remind you that the world's most valued companies only exist because venture capitalists funded them. The creativity and ingenuity of Steve Jobs in combination with capitalism gave us the space age products we have today. And we want more of it.

Sure--they value it.. They just don't reward the creators any more than is absolutely necessary to avoid them going to a competitor. And in some cases, they let him go anyway as they already have the invention.

That's not really true, but who cares? The venture capitalist should be paid some fees for the use of his money but the inventor should be the one getting the fruits of his invention.

But, amazingly, Jobs didn't increase the pie at all. (or very little)

That is called market price. If no one is willing to pay you more, you are obviously not worth more.

LOL. The size of the Apple pie is it's sales and the $800 billion value investors give it. It's bigger than the whole GDP of most countries.

And the sales and market cap. of competing companies went down similarly. No net increase in pie.

And that's the problem with capitalism. It rewards $$ over labor. Capitalism is the worst system except for all the others.

WTF. These tech companies did not exist in the past. They could not have displaced the market caps of competitors.

Capitalism dictates survival of the strongest and the people have been severely weakened by trusting the news and the government while we all get dismissed to hell in a hand basket.

he he he. So sad.

THAT SHIT HAS TO STOP NOW. START ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS, the ones that you'll never hear on the news. The ones that people scream while they carry signs and protest. Thank God for those protesters, they are doing your dirty work for you and they will catch all kinds of hell too while you sit and watch the news and wonder "what's wrong with those people?"

You mean those losers who don't even know what they're protesting?

jazz_music says
We all have to start insisting on MORE MORE MORE and it is going to require an ORGANIZED EFFORT

Minimum wages are already paying more more more. If you still want more of more more more, become a software engineer. Who is stopping you?

NOW open your eyes, as much misery as possible is what trickles down. --EVERY FUCKING TIME, just look at the rest of the world and those mud people are no different than you white boys, they just got financially conquered is all and haven't figured a way out of the misery yet.

Okay, so now you know. You tried being a good little nerd, or good little soldier, and you saw how that works out.

There's no more use waiting for something good to trickle your way.

You don't have to advertise this to the boss either, just be smart.

Think things through.

he he he he he he he.
I nominate you the stand up comedian of Patnet. Your rants are hilarious. I just love them.

What trickled down then? Mud huts, loin cloths, disease, police, incarceration, beatings, death. --while the biggest fortunes in Europe got made!!!!

It's no different now!!!

That is the only fucking thing you have to realize!! --just because you studied and got an amazing STEM skillset and your keepers stroke the fuck out of you with birthday parties at work DOES NOT MAKE YOU ANY DIFFERENT.

If you can't see the difference, you don't deserve anything different. Enjoy the mud hut. And please try not to pee on the side of the mud wall, because it might melt.

Be very afraid. The cat is out of the bag. The cat is the false dichotomy. The whole blessed be job creators narrative thing is blown to shit now.

Tip your waiters and bartenders better or go home, cook and pour your own martinis you fuck!

Was it something I said?

You have a very poor understanding of what constitutes a competitor. Cell phones didn't exist but they have absolutely taken away market share from landlines. Not to mention all the things we used to buy but can now do on our phones. Calculators, compass, flashlight, camera, etc.

The money used to buy a phone didn't appear magically out of thin air. It is money that used to be spent on something else.

Strategist says

Sorry to disappoint, but you are looking a very narrow segment of the population. Just look at corporate profits over the last 30 years and you'll see how labor is no longer being rewarded because all the fruits are going to the owners. It's killing this country.
