Yes, it's a new feature to make the site act more like other forums and news sites.

If a thread title ends with a website host name, like (presstv.ir) then clicking the title will go to the link that the post author put in the post.

You can always get to the patrick.net post by clicking the "Posted 2 minutes ago" or "10 comments" type links below the title.

Hopefully this will be less confusing for new users. Though of course it's a bit confusing today for existing users.

@Patrick. Whut? This make no sense to me. I could not even figure out how to get to the comments until I found this thread. Highly confusing.

While it may be laudable to try and encourage the reader also to read the reference material before commenting, I don't think this is the way to do it.

I don't personally like it, but it's a minor habitual thing to change. If you're mainly interested in comments, just click the comments link. You still have access to the source link if you want to check it out. I'd say give it a day or two and your habits will change rather quickly. Been browsing around for an hour roughly today and I'm already set in the new way. If it went back, I would prefer it, but it's really not too big of a deal. Ultimately I think getting some new, active users in the mix would be a good thing and I think that's Patrick's goal with this. Make it more like other forums so it's easier to transition into an active user.

I still don't like the anonymous option though.
