"WASHINGTON
Under intense pressure from the business and technology communities, the Trump administration appears to be backing away from a policy change that could have forced foreign tech workers out of the country."

You have two choices. Move the tech guys here or move the companies out to their country. Pick your poison.

That's like choosing between heroine and alcohol. I choose alcohol.
Even if the companies stay here they could move departments out of the country, or just outsource.

No where in that article does Trump Tweet his intentions to pull out.
This isn't the first time the Media tried to put change of heart words in Trumps mouth, only for him to deny it later.

Yep, fake news.

Absolute crap. There are plenty of US tech guys. There aren't plenty of US tech guys willing to work longs hour cheaply.

This is why companies would move overseas to stay competitive.

Call it what you will. The fact is a profit seeking company will find loopholes to get around regulations. When the product is a bunch of electrons, it can be exported or imported at the push of a button, from anywhere to everywhere.

So you close the loopholes, you don't give up.

Sure, it's a piece of cake. We can't stop drugs and people coming into the country, but we can stop electrons?

It will surely be difficult—but most things worth doing are.

You do know that all these H1-B Tech guys get paid "standard wages" , mostly above $100K and some as much as $200K. Granted that sometimes they are are taken advantage of but still they are being paid handsomely.

Talk to me about Disney. Or southern california edison. or northeast utilities. or any of the other companies where US workers have trained their outsourced replacements. Are you seriously suggesting they were training their own replacements because the us workers already doing the work weren't available to do their own jobs? The H!-b is supposed to be to find foreign workers with skills that aren't available from a US worker (of which there are very, very few), not to displace people for lower wages.

They are paid standard wages if they are a direct company hire. How much do the outsourcing companies pay? What are standard wages for the india based companies bringing people in on an outsourcing basis?

He’s going to change NAFTA to include the worst parts of the TPP. Then his work will be done
