There's an element of anarchy involved in all this. One need not be anchored to a mortgage and a house filled with things when you have a mobile home and the ability to come and go as you please.


This is a threat to our corporate masters. If we don't need to pay rent or a mortgage, why do we need to be obedient workers and submit to instructions from a boss?

With internet, cell phones, flat screens and laptops, this kind of existence is no longer cut off and can have a reasonable entertainment and connectedness factor. A guy I knew in college quit the fraternity lived in Volkswagen van and actually liked it, but stayed a member and dropped around for showers and laundry. There were no media devices in those days except land lines.
