If you have to get drug tested just to stock shelves...

... why is drug testing to receive food stamps so bad?

End drug testing, it's stupid. It singles pot smokers out. Who are often the most productive and creative.
But your Coke, Meth heads and Opiate users. They can stop for 48 hours and piss clean.
If pot is Legal than it's my legal right to smoke it on my own time. It should be a crime if you can detect any impediment of my performance due to being high at work.
Don't hire Idiots and you wont get Idiot stoned workers. Every most productive people I've known all smoked Pot.
Those lazy sad sacks that got high and stoopered around in a daze from it. Were just lazy doofuses anyway. Take away the pot they would still be lazy doofuses.

Either people can do their job and perform as expected or they can't. The laws should be easier to fire useless fucks all of these other problems would sort themselves out.

It's not bad, it perfect. There should also be a work requirement attached too. Go sweep the sidewalk and street in front of town hall when you go in person to collect benefits.

Sure, you are going under the knife. As you are going under you smell MJ because your neurosurgeon is smoking a fattie while scrubbing up. Because, well, it just makes his surgeries so much better and so creative, and you are the immediate beneficiary.

Problem with drugs, it only seems to be the DRUG USERS who believe they are doing no harm and play the victim card. Maybe it's better to poll all the NON USERS around to see what they think.

The thing is, lawyers, doctors, etc. don't get mandatory drug testing in most states or even at the initial point of their career.

Yet you can get free housing, cash, and food stamps without a drug test.

But, you gotta take one to put toasters on the shelf at Walmart, where the worst thing that could happen is you drop one on your toe and go "Ow".

People who live off the State, or who have people's legal or physical lives in their literal hands, don't have to have regular or even initial drug testing. In fact the Bar almost never rejects people with a verifiable history (like a conviction for possession) of drug use.

Oh yeah, I had a DUI in college and was busted for some coke a few years ago, but I did my community service. Well, Mr. Shekelstein, you've owned up to it, and you've passed the bar, so, let me be the first to invite you to practice law in New Jersey (or Maine or Oregon or wherever).

Listen, Roy, you had a conviction for pot possession at the Stir Mix-A-Lot/Digital Undergroun Concert twenty five years ago and your blood test came back positive for THC. I'm sorry, you're permanently disqualified from making the donuts here at Crispy Kreme.

BTW, I'm coming at this from the "Whatever's easy is what get done, not what makes the most sense."

The group to start with would be Commercial Drivers of all kinds.

Really?

I just laughed so hard, I fell off of my chair.

Not sure what's so funny about his statement. I don't 100% agree with productive, but for sure they're more creative. Not sure if it's weed that makes them creative or not, or it's just that type of personality that is creative gets drawn into using pot. They likely had some natural ability and just practiced a shitload as well.

At least as far as music goes, it's almost a requirement. My old band has opened (when I was still in it) for acts that still can sellout a 5-10k seat venue. Smoking pot before going live was the rule, not the exception. I'm talking extremely talented musicians that are pushing close to 7 figure annual income playing 120 shows a year (basically working 4 months of the year - pretty productive for the money), put out an album every 2 years and smoke pot daily.

I'm not going to force anyone to smoke it (I haven't myself in over 6 months now), but to claim it's laughable that smoking pot doesn't have some correlation to creativity is a little short sighted. You don't have to like it obviously. I'd personally say it's more positive then alcohol though. And when it comes to creativity, pot guys will almost always come out ahead over the drunk "rock stars" that sludge through a set barely able to stand.

Another Mystery:

All Bakeries have to bake cakes for everybody for any reason or they'll be sued out of existence.

But Social Media websites can ban anybody or any post they want for any reason.
