Don’t judge the situation without knowing facts yet.

Yeah, the Media was dead set against it, and very clearly explained the reasons to be skeptical of a chlorine gas attack (and furthermore, who did it).

And no Democrats pushed Trump either, they said, "Please Orange Douche, leave Assad alone!!!"

Everyone does realize this is just a weapons test against real life defenses, right? Russia can’t and won’t do anything of consequence, let alone Syria. It’s simply to test Russian defenses in Syria to make sure we’re not losing ground with our tech. Any other theories I would question the motivation.

I agree. This would be a message to Russia, China, and Korea that Soviet/Russian derived weaponry is no match for NATO derived firepower and tactics.

If so, good. The world is a much better place when the US is the top military and economic powerhouse.

Leftist and Socialists HATE that fact.

I'm hoping the purpose is basically, "Russia, is this the hill you want to die on." and "Iran, we're negotiating that nuclear deal and pushing your influence out of Syria (and Lebanon and Gaza)"

Definitely not sold on the Chlorine Gas, which was used this time as opposed to Sarin as an excuse because any schmuck with WW1 tech can make Chlorine Gas.

The US intelligence community confirmed w the same "highly confident" determination that both Syria gassed it's own people as Russia worked to influence our election.

If Trump is so confident that the former is fake news why is he so eager to jump into war?

Definitely more to this story.

Right on. I have zero problem being top dog. Some older people, errrr I mean technology can't stand up to the new, younger and smarter tech of today.

I hear you. But the way you describe it is just that. We have to be sold. We weren't there. We'll never know WTF happened. Unfortunately trust in the boomer owned media is all we have. And let's admit, boomer's aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Those videos look so Pallywood I'm just dubious. Plus I think I put the picture up of the striped jacked boy and girl in red in two different parts of the building, in another thread.

That's what makes it so Pallywood, the guys who staged the shots sell as many different photos as possible for cash, including the ones they didn't sell to the first buyer.

"Boomers" dont own CNN, CNBC, and FOX. Those are called corporations, w a few large shareholders.

I agree. That's why I think it was just target practice to make sure we're not losing our touch. Sure we're in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we're not frequently using the weapons used tonight. It's a matter of practicality. We have to make sure they work when we actually NEED to use them. Unfortunately it came on the back of a flimsy chemical attack. And unfortunately sometimes you bend the truth to stay top dog.

Got some friends doing a river cruise this summer in Russia. Not sure how that's going to work out now to say the least. I assume they got trip insurance.

Hey, I'm just being passive aggressive. Can't talk about other users, so I'll just leave it at that.
