This seems to be practice for deeper and more blatantly anti-free speech punishments of wrongthink.
Today a fine for making Nazi pug video, tomorrow fines or imprisonment for supporting the "wrong" candidate.
Britain, I'm very disappointed in you. Fortunately, there are still some pro-free speech voices in Britain which have not yet been silenced:

Free speech is the right to offend. If you cannot offend, you cannot speak, because these days everyone is offended about everything.

Last month, Scottish YouTube comedian Mark Meechan was found guilty of a hate crime after posting a video of his girlfriend’s pug Buddha raising its paw to the words “Sieg Heil.” Though Meechan argued that the motivation behind the anti-Semitic video was simply to prank his girlfriend, he has been fined £800—or about $1,116.
“The fact that you claim in the video, and elsewhere, that the video was intended only to annoy your girlfriend and as a joke and that you did not intend to be racist is of little assistance to you,” Sheriff Derek O’Carroll said, BBC reported.
“A joke can be grossly offensive. A racist joke or a grossly offensive video does not lose its racist or grossly offensive quality merely because the maker asserts he only wanted to get a laugh.”

I didn't really read the article to be honest (all the way). I can't fathom living somewhere that you could get fined for teaching your dog a trick. That's what this was, and that's pretty sick.
That said, the biggest kick I got out of this, was the categorization of the article. "Filed to: NAZI PUG" I know Gizmodo is very smart ass-ish, but seriously? I don't know how to interpret their articles moving forward. Is it real or Onion-esk?
God I love and hate the internet all at the same time. I'm now questioning if this is a legit article or BS.
