That's because there's no way to block bad actors on the internet from snooping on you. No host file, no way to block or open ports, no scripts to run, no way to tell who's getting information from your phone and where it is going. No way to control access of the information coming and going from your phone.

Yes please use your phone more so the Snooping class can know more about you and sell more of your information.

P.S. To any of you Idiots that are clicking on the links in your email from every Social Network copying Facebooks brilliant plan to verify the marketability of their users by asking them to log in an verify and update their profiles. You deserve the Prince of Nigeria breaking in your home in the middle of the night and pushing your shit in.

I'd say that the ONLY better feature of a phone over a computer is that it fits in my pocket so I can take it everywhere.

From a hardware perspective, many aspects of a phone are a severe compromise... minuscule screen, horrible on-screen keyboard, terrible speakers, clumsy pointing device (2-button scroll wheel mouse -vs- fat fingers? give me a break!), etc. It's hilarious someone is going to spend hundreds of $$$ extra on a not-very-good external keyboard, a not-very-good external screen, etc, to add to their phone so they can do "real work." Even after all that, you still have the issue of software...

Phones have a simplistic OS and software model dumbed down to be useful with the inferior hardware outlined above. I'm sorry, but I don't know anyone at all that does useful work on a phone except when they are desperate.

I think the best system is the one I use: a real computer for real work and a smartphone for on-the-go non-serious computing.

We were closer there with the phone generation that the Samsung S5 to S6 were. After that Google, Advertisers, and Goverment's snooping on our personal lives out weighed any benefit to the actual user. You're not going to get no where near the quality of Audio Recording out of them that we got out of that generation. Mostly because the Mic gain is trimmed to the max to pick up soft spoken words in the other room with clarity. But if you're filming a bar band or a loud birthday celebration the audio track in it will sound like a distorted clip fart. Even the Apps I loved then have all dumbed down and are utterly useless. Best example Guitar Pro Tuner. Once a very good versatile app now a useless POS that they expect you pay for. Even though its no where near as good as the previous version. Sure there's not a Microsoft Store App I would buy and run on my Computer. But for the most part I can still install any Windows application that I was running on Windows 7 or even most from Windows XP.

C'mon with a true linux phone.

The lack of anything like a hosts file is a severe impediment. Also the auto-updates and demands to access your location from apps that really don't need that information to function.
