You know who also needs to thank America? Native Hawaiians. 200 years ago they were Stone Age barbarians without the wheel, getting thrown into a volcano for pissing off Queen Inouwanalaime or touching some taboo totem, while the 2% of the Noble caste ruled over them all and demanded they slave away on sugar plantations while licking the bones of Captain Cook for Mana Power.

Today they are fat and happy with ObamaPhones, TVs, and living in Scandalously Subsidized paradise with clean water, electric, etc. And all they do is curse tourists and Hoale in general. I say eject Hawaii and then renegotiate Schofield and Pearl Harbor for a fraction of what it costs to keep kānakas on the dole for Beer, Meth, and Smokes today.

We should dynamite the highways, bridges, and electric stations on the way out to help the Kanakas restore their pristine environment the Hoale allegedly wrecked, too.

BTW, read this article from the Southern Poverty Law Center of all places, which confirms what people have been saying about Kanakas for decades now:
https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/intelligence-report/2009/hawaii-suffering-racial-prejudice

Like Puerto Rico, Hawaii needs a "Statehood or Bye-bye, no Middle Ground" referendum.

KILL THE HAOLES! KILL THEM ALL!

They are some of the most warm, generous, sweet people if you roll with them, but start showing Germanic Honkey Mainland Judgmentalism and you are toast.

Yeah, but forget about fair. Fair is you haven't been tied in palm leaves and used as shark bait.

I'm going to Waikiki in August. Can we delay the rebellion until after? I like their beaches and food.
3   Goran_K   2018 May 23, 2:50pm

This is all not surprising to me. Democrats survive on racial division to stay in power, and they tacitly allow this racism and violence to survive since it helps them win elections.

Just stick with the yuppie ghetto overpriced pleasure palaces. Wander too far off the beaten paths, and you are subject to Pele's wrath.

It's already a state. You know, Hawaii 5-0. Stands for 50th state to be admitted into the Union.

I realize that. However, there is so much griping I say give them a choice. Also, $49,000 for a mother of two on welfare in Hawaii.

"Oh, my non existent Utopia governed by the Wise Queen that never existed!"
and
"Sure we lived in the Stone Age and didn't have the wheel, but a few more decades we'd have been to the moon by ourselves Haole!!!"

Boy will they get the Aloha Spirit upon independence. PLEASE Mainlanders, PLEASE Visit Hawaii.

Only 2% of Hawaiians are pure blooded Hawaiians. Even those who have a little bit of Hawaiian genes are resentful of Whites.
If Hawaii was not part of America, it would have been another shit hole Haiti. They would get up each morning dreaming about getting a Green Card. Many would risk their lives getting on a raft hoping to reach California, the land that welcomes illegals.
Sadly, the native Hawaiians are in denial about this.

It's an incredibly giving and warm and generous place, but you have to earn it

I've seen many variants of that claim.

It's the standard Hawaiian excuse for their racist and cold behavior towards outsiders. They usually say some crap about how many people move to Hawaii and then leave a few years later, so they assume all new people will leave soon, and therefore you don't deserve their respect or friendship because they don't want to waste their time on someone who will probably leave soon.

It reminds of my days in commissioned retail sales. Nobody wants the competition of additional employees on the sales floor when you work commission because you then need to split the customer traffic, and earn less commission. So, we were extremely mean to new employees - the idea was to make them hate their new job and quit, and it worked. But, if they stuck around for a while to where we felt they would stay no matter what, then eventually we would apologize and be friendly to them. Our motive was money (our pay sucked even with few employees), but I think Hawaiians are just straight up racist due to culture.

Hell, I saw a video where some Hawaiian lady literally said "please, come and visit and enjoy our beautiful island. But, make sure you go home. Dont stay / live here." translation: gimme your money and gtfo haole!

It would have either done the same bitching about the UK, or the population would have been genocided by the Japanese.

Hawaiians are lucky.

No worries Goran, the overall crime rate is very low in Hawaii. It's safer than LA. Just enjoy your visit and try visiting another island too. You will find the volcano fascinating on the big island.

It isn't as low as the numbers say. Police put immense pressure on tourists and military members not to press charges when they get assailed by natives. The opposite of what happens in most places.

LOL. I did not think of the Japanese imperialism in that time period. They would have taken over Hawaii and practically enslaved the natives.

I'm sure you are right, but violent crimes like rape and murder have to be pursued by law enforcement, and those are low too.

It's a tourist destination. Do you really think they are going to publicize or keep track of anything they don't have to that might keep people from going?

In Santa Cruz, the realtors and Chamber of Commerce brow beat their advertisees to keep the stuff out of the public eye. Got to keep up those real estate prices and keep the rubes emptying their wallets in the town. In reality, it has a property crime rate that is higher than Compton!

It's funny, one of the justification for the amnesty stuff was so that illegals would feel free to "aid and assist the police and authorities without fear". They haven't had a single instance of any illegal "aiding or assisting the police and authorities" in any way.

When I was in Maui, we were cautioned not to leave any surfboard or property unattended for any length of time. At all the parking lots, you have eyes on you waiting for you to leave your stuff alone. You could see the knots of addicts hanging around the parking lots and beaches.

Santa Cruz has some murders too.

A few years ago a guy was murdered outside a small bar. He was mistaken for his twin brother.

Before that, the owner of a lingerie store downtown in Pacific Ave. was murdered by a homeless guy as she was walking to downtown.

My friend had 3 murders about 100 yards from his place on Canfield Ave. One was killed down by the levee and two were killed just yards from his house.

He recently bragged to me that his house was "worth" $800,000. I gently reminded him the only trouble was getting that cash into his pocket someday.

Santa Cruz is a "sanctuary" city; it's a place where the normal laws of logic are suspended, dimwits, crazies and socialists have a sanctuary there.

Not to mention the two police officers who were killed just a couple of years ago by a whacko transient. Bet they thought they had the cush police job until then.

Woman on Pacific Avenue in broad daylight attempted rape a couple of weeks ago. At first, nobody helped her because they thought it was a "bum fight" (from another source).
