He lays that failure, correctly, at the feet of the Democratic Party, which had the perfect opportunity in 2008 to reverse course, and didn’t. Which left the “task of capturing public anger” to Donald Trump.

“We’re going to pay for that failure for a long time,” he says, then professes not to know why it happened:

For all their cunning, Republicans are a known quantity. Democrats, however, remain a mystery. We watch them hesitate at crucial moments, betray the movements that support them, and even try to suppress the leaders and ideas that generate any kind of populist electricity. Not only do they seem uninterested in doing their duty toward the middle class, but sometimes we suspect they don’t even want to win.

Good read but of course disagree with something must be done. Trump is doing a great job at righting the ship and bringing back a sense of nationalism and coherence amongst Americans.

What must be done is the Democrat party must be gutted like a fish, the members and supporters routed and discouraged, and Leftists must lose all hope. Then and only then might they consider that their approach was totally wrong, and that is why they are losers.

Democrats were taken over by socialists, and SJWs who seem to hate America and promote new anti family, anti white, and anti men racism.

When Obama announced that transgender shit is his main focus under civil rights, I knew the party lost its marbles.

Sexual deviance will win them CA because they are spending billions promoting it. But it’s an unsustainable model.

I wouldn't call Hillary a socialist.

I wasn’t thinking if Hillary. I was thinking of our CA politicians.

Feinstein is a fucking corrupt capitalist. When the socialists, i.e., Bernie, made a run, the Dems took care of that. CA is likely going to be taken over more and more by sons and daughters of illegals, and then illegals, who are for illegals.
7   FortWayne   2018 Aug 11, 9:15am

That’s probably right.
They promote illegals and minorities to a point that it became ok to discriminate against white. For example LA schools with over 35% white gets funding taken away. Shit is racist.

Democrats are digging their own massive grave.

When Collins was charged with insider trading for the relatively small amount of 700k Pelosi went gangbusters on him and the repubs, babbling on how Americans deserve better. Dems are far worse because they have no shame claiming moral superiority while they are rotten to a degree the Repubs could only dream of. Pelosi made many millions if not 10s of millions with insider trading in healthcare, it's well known and proven but she escaped from prosecution through the loophole. She lives thusly in a lavish multi million dollar mansion in SF and has the fucking gall to crow about Collins tipping off his son for 700k?? Fuck you Pelosi. Collins suspended his campaign, cunt Pelosi is still living off of taxpayer money.

Hillary is far from a socialist but to win she takes on whatever mantle at the moment to try to win.

The Democratic party doesn't know its head from its ass.

As I'd stated before, socialism will come when ALL (call it ~80%) of white collar jobs are automated.

http://patrick.net/post/1317782/2018-07-30-if-you-want-socialism-then-focus-on-automating-all-white-collar-jobs-first

Even the Dems still believe that the average Joe works at some socialist camp like the cafeteria or the physical plant at some expansive university like Penn or Duke.

And thus, they're trying to make the culture of America look like some Ivy League campus with its Capella groups, LGBT groups, LaCrosse, etc. You see, these ppl have never worked, they went straight from an Ivy campus to some DC think tank or management consulting firm.

Think about it, what 'real' qualification did Chelsea Clinton have for getting a starting six figure job at McKinsey over the average middle class Stanford grad? Simple ... her parents' political clout. In reality, the MC firms start every top grad somewhere between $60K-$90K when they're fresh out of school regardless of 4.0 GPAs and academic publications, esp when they have zero experience on the books.

You mean sort of like Trump ? When he said he would fix health care, and create a lot of high paying jobs, save big coal etc., and lower the deficit ?

Call me paranoid, but I do suspect that the Democratic Party has been co-opted by billionaires who, in exchange for unlimited funding, want only a few simple things:

1. Absolutely no mention by Democrats of how the working class has been screwed over by the export of jobs to China and the import of illegals, who drive down wages
2. Continuous division of voters by various markers of identity to prevent any unified challenge to the oligarchs
3. Continuous blame of white people, especially the poorest, for "racism" as a way to justify harming them
13   Shaman   2018 Aug 11, 12:37pm

Patrick you just described the core Democrat platform. Every significant issue is economic, yet they focus entirely on social issues and whether or not someone said something mean or “racist.” All the while they attempt to divide Americans of different backgrounds and colors, divide us by our education level, and even divide us by our gender! All this division is good only for one group: the oligarchs who own both parties. That’s slowly changing for the GOP, but it’s a work in progress.

Trump has been saying a lot of the same things for the last 20-30 years with our trade and economy. Hillary on the other hand has flipped on almost every issue over the same amount of time. She is probably one of the most fair weather candidates I have ever seen.
