BREAKING: The jury in Paul Manafort’s fraud case indicated in a note Tuesday that it is struggling to reach a unanimous verdict on all 18 tax- and bank-fraud charges.

The six-woman, six-man jury in the trial of President Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort began its fourth day of deliberations on Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III summoned jurors into the courtroom a little after 9:35 a.m. As occurs each morning, the clerk called out each juror’s number, and each responded they were “here” or “present.” The judge asked them to confirm that they had not done any independent research, then set them back to resume their work.

Manafort, who has worked on Republican presidential campaigns dating back to Gerald Ford, faces 18 bank fraud and tax charges. The trial in Alexandria, Va., began three weeks ago, and the jury began deliberating on Thursday.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — The Latest on the Paul Manafort trial (all times local):

11:45 a.m.

The jury in the financial fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort wants to know what to do if it cannot reach a consensus for a single count in the case.

Jurors posed the question to U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III on their fourth day of deliberations. They also said they would need a new verdict form.

This case is already won if not by verdict today then by an appeal later

I heard any interesting analysis of the Manafort case by a liberal lawyer. The special investigation uncovered a crime that had been committed and it had to be investigated. It should be been referred to the southern district but the Mueller investigation went against protocol and decided to take the case themselves, even though this specific alleged crime had nothing to do with Russians, Trump or Trump's campaign.

The only reason they took the case is to put pressure on Manafort and try to get some information out of him regarding "Russian collusion".

They really have nothing on Trump.

If there was anything on Trump they would have had all of the digital evidence for it before Inauguration day, and Obama would declared himself President until the case got sorted out, or until a Hillary Do over election with Jeb Bush(as God intended) could have taken place. You don't find Russia collusion evidence by casting a drag net to dig up any ole dirt on Trump. Mueller claims he was investigating Russia ties, but he was looking for financial fraud crimes instead. Because they bet big that Trump was so crooked, just look at him. They were convinced he was guilty as hell of something. They didn't know what but they were going to find it.

They bet wrong and now they are panicking they can't stand that their efforts came up with absolutely nothing they are livid but not as livid as Hillary Clunton.

Good Fucking Lord it's going to be so satisfying when these Clowns all go up the river for their 100%(fuck them they did IT!) crimes.

It's going to bring down most of Washington, much of the Mainstream media and the pedos in Hollywood.

There will be world peace when these shit birds shit their pants when they are all hung by the neck until they were dead, dead, DEAD!

Sorry it's taking so long folks Complicated Business!

No but they can be retried. Bill Cosby wishes that they couldn’t about now...

I’m wondering if there’s an obstinate juror, someone who refuses to convict on principal rather than the law. This would lead to a hung jury. It happens sometimes especially in political cases. One stubborn fellow with an axe to grind can completely subvert the process.

Trials don't end until the jury foreperson announces the result or the judge declares a mistrial. Civics 101.

The jury has to work through 18 separate charges with at least 4-5 complex elements to each charge. That's going to take a while to go through. The judge and lawyers knew that.

Why would he need to. It's a hung jury. Oh wait, about that hung jury thing. Never mind.

I don't think hung jury cases can be appealed. There's this thing in the Constitution called the Doubled Jeopardy Clause.
