Now, OK, I know you’re probably asking, “how can the international working classes possibly be the enemy of the Left?” and “wouldn’t that render the whole concept of the Left completely absurd and essentially meaningless?” and other pertinent questions like that. ...

The international working classes are racists. They are misogynists. Xenophobic transphobes. They do not think the way we want them to. Some of them actually still believe in God. They are white supremacists. Anti-Semites. Gun-toting, Confederate-flag-flying rednecks. Most of them have never even heard of terms like “intersectionality,” “TERF,” and so on. They do not respect the corporate media. They think that news sources like the Washington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, and so on, are basically propaganda outlets for the global corporations and oligarchs who own them...

Their minds are so twisted by racism and xenophobia that they can’t understand how global capitalism, the graduated phase-out of national sovereignty, the privatization of virtually everything, the debt-enslavement of nearly everyone, and the replacement of their so-called “cultures” with an ubiquitous, smiley-faced, gender-neutral, non-oppressive, corporate-friendly, Disney simulation of culture are actually wonderfully progressive steps forward on the road to a more peaceful, less offensive world. ...

As much as some of us may want to deny it, the fact is, the country that elected Barack Obama (who is Black) president, twice, has been transformed by Putin’s brainwashing agents into a cesspool of xenophobia and racism, and it is up to us lefties to set things right! ...

This is not the time to abandon our commitment to imposing our identity-based ideology on every last person on the planet Earth, or to indulge in that ugly kind of old-fashioned leftism that is based on what the working classes want. Who gives a damn what the working classes want? What’s important is what we want them to want. ...

But, seriously … if you’ve made it this far in my essay, and you consider yourself a leftist of some sort, you’re probably extremely frustrated with what passes for the Left these days, and with how the working classes are flocking to the Right, both in the United States and all over the world. ...

This is the historical moment we are experiencing, a clumsy, sloppy, partly fascistic, partly non-fascistic democratic uprising against the continuing spread of global capitalism, the erosion of what is left of national sovereignty, and … yes, people’s cultures and values.

The international working classes understand this. The neo-nationalist Right understands this. The majority of the Left does not understand this, and is refusing to admit that it’s happening, and so is standing around on the sidelines calling everybody “racists” and “fascists” while the global capitalist ruling classes and the neo-nationalists sort things out.

Which is exactly what the ruling classes want, and what the official Putin-Nazi narrative was designed to achieve from the very beginning. ...

If what is left of the Left expects to play any meaningful part in our historical moment (other than sanctimoniously cheerleading for the global capitalist ruling classes), it is going need to get its hand a littler dirtier, mingle a bit more with all those working class “populists,” talk to them, and, I don’t know, maybe even listen to them.

It's really stunning, the Propaganda.

Just 5 months ago we were told we shouldn't appoint somebody to the Supreme Court based on 35 year old allegations by one person of groping as a Sophmore/Junior in High School, a claim that was denied by all 3 people known to have been there. The accuser could also not identify the place of attack at all, had a history of alcoholism, using boyfriend's credit cards, lied about the reason for a code-violating second door (illegal apartment), and helped an FBI applicant friend coach a Polygraph

Now we're told that blackface and/or dressing up as a Klansman was normal 35-years ago for Med School students, an adult who already graduated College in his early 20s, by a man who painted his recent opponent for Governorship as a Racist without revealing his own "problematic" past.

This is weeks after being told students smirking nervously after being first approached by Black Israelites calling them "Dusty Crackers" and then by Lefist AIM members chanting "Go back to Europe" was the epitome of Nazi-Fascist MAGA Hat Racism.

We also just had an Antifa attack on a School in Eugene Oregon that ended with a Resource Officer shooting the pistol-pulling Xir when he refused to leave per a specific Court Order prohibiting contact.. But boy did the media drop that story when the assailant didn't turn out to be a Redhatted "Racist".

People think somehow the Left-Islamosexual Alliance is going to break down between Pink Haired Xirs and "Sluts" vs. Islamists.

No, it's going to break down between Socialists a la Occasional-Cortex, and Neoliberals like Mark Werner/Nancy Pelosi.

The working classes are not like the noble persons of color, whose naivete about the ways of Western civilization must mean knowledge of a better way. So we must replace these working class slugs with these native visionaries, who will make the despised civilizations of Western oppressors into something natural and marvelous.

A little peyote and wandering amidst the dunes and cactus go a long way.

The obvious nature of SJW propaganda and the real danger of physical or financial harm to anyone who questions it are exactly what make the memes on the right so damn hilarious and effective. People laugh at what they are forbidden from saying themselves.

Most people feel the tension between the actual truth and what the SJW MSM tells us is the truth. That's actually the perfect recipe for comedy. Comedy depends on the release of tension.

This is also why all SJW memes fall flat. They are starting out from lies to make themselves feel better about their grievances, and think that mocking the side telling the truth is somehow funny. It's just not. It's kind of sad.

No, I'm asking myself how will the justification and defensiveness of Trump voters that are in some cases racist and preferring an authoritarian (non- democratic) government, evolve?

Funny. From my view they are almost always pretty stupid, and sometimes so dishonest that I can't comprehend there are people that are simultaneously that stupid and that dishonest.

Where as a find the anti Trump memes to be often on point and truly funny !.
8   Patrick   2019 Feb 3, 2:34pm

Trump is merely the symptom of the corruption of the Left.

The Left has taken the money from the globalists and is sucking Satan's cock. (Sucking Satan's Kochs?)

They know this at some level, and feel a bit bad about being on their knees for the pleasure of their corporate masters all the time, so instead of asking themselves how they could have gone so far wrong, they instead accuse everyone and every thing of RACISM!

And that does make them feel a bit better about being whores for the globalists.

And the globalists chuckle at the division it causes, exactly as they intended it to.
9   marcus   2019 Feb 3, 3:19pm

Globalization is not evil. It's a natural evolution, after we fought to make most of the world capitalist. Look at the stats for global poverty and hunger.

Sure there is a downside, including the fact that as third world standard of living rises, ours declines, and there are questions of how 10 billion people can even sustain reasonable standards of consumption as we now think about normal human consumption.

The big picture is unbelievably complicated (quoting Jordan Peterson).

Globalization simply is. Sort of like human self interest is.

The idea that we should expect life to stay the same here in the U.S. while the global population growth is such that it doubles every few decades, is beyond silliness.

I disagree. We have nations and borders. Those exist.

Global corporations are dependent on the laws of each country they operate in. They are a by-product of nations, and can be controlled by nations.

Good find!

That's why I was skeptical of the "Dutch historian" speech at Davos advocating higher effective taxes amongst a chorus of similar advocacy (they are not given the opportunity to speak and then spread like wildfire by accident). Both the capital owners and the workers are members of the productive classes (capital owners usually work too). The real struggle is between the productive classes vs. the parasites. Higher effective taxes would transfer resources from the productive classes to the parasite class. Even for destitute workers who do not have any capital at all (which is rare), having the freedom to choose which employer to work for is better than waiting in line for government hand-outs (i.e. like slaves on a slave plantation). Government officials are no less selfish than capital-owners (who are no less and no more selfish than workers), but both the capital owners and workers are checked by competition whereas government officials are usually not. Most government agents are de facto monopolies in their particular field of authority. Higher tax rates would mean transferring resources from that which consumers/workers have a set of choices to that which consumers/workers would have little or no choice.

Both workers and owners of capital are results of mutually willing market exchanges, and have first-hand experience on how the real world works. Whereas the "over-educated" / poorly-brainwashed academics are conditioned to worship authority in the academic ivory tower, therefore prone to advocating state-capitalism / national-socialism, both of which are essentially manifestations of real fascism. Propaganda paid for by "private charity" can be rejected by public rejecting the financiers behind such propaganda, whereas propaganda funded and enforced by government tax money would be much harder to reject.

US living standards improved steadily from 1793 to 1973 while the global population kept doubling every few decades.

"Globalization" as in world-wide trade started (in the current mega-cycle) in the early 1500's with the discovery of gold and silver mines in the New World. The fundamental problem with the latter stages of post-WWII "globalization" is that after Johnson's "Great Society" bankrupted the US (welching on the Brettonwoods promise), instead of reducing welfare-warfare state to stimulate real economic growth, the politicians resorted to permanent war-footing waging "War on Poverty" "War on Drug" "War on . . ." kept printing money (which had been a war-time only policy when Bank of England was the central bank of the world), resulting in exportation of real capital from the US. "Globalism" enforced by American military and the Fed result in a situation where domestic households and corporations pay for a global imperial security so that international corporations can conduct business in a global environment much safer to themselves than otherwise would have been (they wouldn't move those factories overseas if the factories ran high risk of being confiscated by local despots). Meanwhile, some other more totalitarian governments gradually taking a larger and larger cut from the trade system, gradually becoming a security threat to the US.

Open Borders (for immigration) wouldn't be a problem if there were no welfare system attracting unproductive free-loaders; the US had that before the welfare state, and was highly successful (as European immigrants came in droves over the long-term growth, whereas Mexicans and Canadians came and went back as the US economy ebbed and flowed in the short-term). Zoning/Denisity Laws are results of the vast majority of local voters (and bureaucrats). So the middle class and the poor are just as much if not more responsible for those laws (even if they were intellectually incapable of foreseeing the long term consequences of those laws in the hands of a monopolistic self-interested bureaucracy).

From 1800 to 1900 World population went from 1 billion to 1.65 billion, but it went from 3 billion to 6 billion in 1960 to 2000.

Population growth has actually been a driver of economic growth. But my point was that the huge expansion of the numbers of people in extreme poverty was going to cause economic disruptions. Do you really imagine a world where nearly entire countries of people get by on a dollar or two a day, and in others they live on whatever the average American makes ? With that vast a difference in how they live and consume ? That's what I meant by globalization being inevitable. I wasn't referring to (or advocating) no borders all together. But economically and with respect to trade, yes, a certain lack of borders is good. Ultimately alliances are necessary for security and to prevent wars over resources.

It's fine to question the way things have worked out. But at the same time it's good to respect (and possibly even be aware of) many of the complex factors that led to how things are. When I hear things boiled down to simplistic solutions, I feel like people are being manipulated by politicians.

Everyone on patrick.net keep in mind that poster :"Marcus" is a public school teacher in California. Keep that in mind when you are exposed to the context of his posts.

The links below relate to conditions and events which overwhelm the taxpaying and documented working class:

Less of a problem, but it would still be a problem. Large numbers of Unvaccinated Males would undercut the wages of Young Men while spreading disease, damaging the prospects of the working poor by working for artifically low wages but pleasing Capital.

Mexicans were coming in droves when the postwar economy heated up in the 1950s until "Operation Wetback". Ranchers and Farmers in Texas were bribing the INS to look the other way, so they wouldn't have to pay market wages to Americans. Many were transferred to the Canadian border and vice-versa.

Ironic Thing? Mexico requested the US turn away illegal immigrants from Mexico in the 1950s. It was causing upwards wage pressure for Big Fat Mexican Landlords because so many young men were crossing into the USA, making wages go up due to the reduced supply.

Most of the caravans are still largely composed of Central American young males, not women or children (though not to the degree of the Fakefugee Influx to Europe from the Middle East in the past few years).

MisterLearnToCode,

With free trade started to benefit developing economies like Mexico and China, the USA sent middle class manufacturing jobs to Mexico and in return we were given the undesirable (i.e., indigenous / Mayans, etc.) from down South. I think the combination of this has decimated the working and middle class (i.e., construction jobs, etc.) in the USA.

Perhaps posters like "Marcus" think this is justified in order to harm the average Americans standard of living/quality of life, and simultaneously help the historically-disadvantaged and formerly colonized countries like those in Latin America and the Far East (i.e., think of Barack Obama's book Dreams Of My Father) to catch up.

Globalists (aka: neo-Marxists and identity politics activists) think this is perfectly acceptable in order to address western civilization's past wrongs. Most are careful to code their language in order to not reveal their agenda, this is especially true as you get further up the chain-of-command in the globalist community.

Agreed completely. But breaking up the family by encouraging single motherhood is a big factor. No-fault divorce on demand another.

A woman of a 1950s-60s family, who expects to be married unto death, and works little out of the home at least when her children are schoolage, is outraged her husband is paying so much tax that could go towards Lace Dollies or a new Frost Free Refridgerator.
20   AD   2019 Feb 3, 10:46pm

MisterLearnToCode,

That would encourage illegal immigrants to bring children or to have a child (i.e., 14th Amendment) in the USA. That incentive would encourage more illegal immigration.

And Left-wing NGO's are encouraging this as well by coaching Central Americans seeking to illegally enter the USA or to falsely claim amnesty.
