This is exactly what is planned, it seems:

"affordable-housing rental","Community Housing Works .... acts as property manager ... screening tenants, collecting rent"

"Homeowner allows the unit to be an affordable-housing rental for a specific term, expected to be in the range of 10-12 years."

The zoning and other existing laws of a community are what make it a nice place to live. What's next, rezoning so we can have a fat rendering plant down the street?

Why not have a Silicon Valley v2 somewhere else instead?

Better yet, mandatory Granny Flats for Refugees in the Greenbelt!

I'd love to ship 2000 Somalians to Greenwich Connecticut, maybe the OC.

It could turn desirable silicon valley cities into East Palo Alto.

Then it will require more cushy gubmint jobs to "help". Win-fucking-win.

Since there is no cost for land, these units could be built for a much lower price per unit
