Trump has avoided war even though multiple times they have tried to pull him in. He has been our most peaceful presedent in my lifetime. He also called out reps and dems that were for Iraqi war. Biden was for the Iraqi war.

This may be one of the funniest things I've read on Patnet. Trump mopped the floor in debates with someone that had already run for POTUS. It was part of the reason I almost voted for him in '16. Biden is toast man. Trump is going to have so many one liner digs on the ready that it's going to have great comedic value. I wouldn't be shocked if Joe resorted to a physical altercation 30 minutes in. This is also if he even makes it to the debates. Still convinced DNC pulls the rug out from under him at some point.

I think the general trends between now and November will be in Trump's favor. New COVID infections are already trending down after the 2nd wave and people will be more and more frustrated if Democrats are still advocating lockdowns and school closures into October/November.

We still have a lot of ground to cover before November. Trump has taken his knocks. But he will be redeemed with HCQ as the truth is now coming out that this was an effective treatment and the Democrats tried to suppress it. They’re not going to be able to spin those extra hundred thousand deaths into a positive. And since Covid is what so many people care about, this won’t be a good look for their failed party.
The truth is coming out about Biden. He’s not a valid candidate. Watch for buzz about the VP pick who is now half a week overdue. It’s got to be someone inspirational to overcome the drag of electing a senile old man to the highest office in the country.

Laughable poll from CBS the other day has Trump behind Biden in NC by 4%, polls had him losing NC to Clinton a week before Nov 2016.
Not only did CBS crib respondents from other's polls, but CBS oversampled dems by ~10%. Check the last few questions. About 400 Dems answering compared to about 360 Republicans...
But you're saying "Oh, well, lots of people are moving to NC and the Republican Majority is being chiseled away, so they're just adjusting the poll for differences in the party affiliation of registered voters"
Not according to voter registration: In 4 years, the Republicans gained 100k registrations and lead the Democrats in party affiliation. The Democrats lost 100k, and independents gained - apparently all the Indy gain at the expense of the Dems.

Ok, so we saw this incident unfold live while driving down 206 in Somerville today around noon. Was in front of Duke Farms on 206 and I was like “why does it sound like a fighter jet is going to crash into my car?”. Then, spotted the fighter jet and helicopter. Fighter jet was flying and looping around like crazy. And once they got, where I presume was above the golf course, he started deploying anti missile flares. It was pretty cool.
Unfortunately, Dashboard cam wasn’t in view and my wife tried to film it with the cell phone after the first round of flares but the planes were a little too far for my crappy cell phone to pick it up. We narrated the incident though.

I recently watched some documentaries on the Amish - really interesting people.
They said Amish are forbidden from participating in politics publicly. I'm guessing some of them saw some of the recent effects of leftism, got scared, then got the elders to make an emergency exception to support Trump. They live by strict rules, but are practical and do make exceptions.

I also recently watched a documentary about a few of them who left to join "mainstream" fundamentalist Christians. They were free to talk about the whole Amish thing on camera and it was super-interesting. Amish as a rule are not supposed to let their picture be taken, because that's "vanity".

Buoyed by blacks and independent voters, as well as urban dwellers shocked by the Black Lives Matter protest violence raging in some cities, President Trump’s approval rating has hit a new high, according to a survey heavy with minority voters.
The latest Zogby Analytics poll just shared with Secrets had Trump’s approval at 52%. “The president has recorded his best job approval rating on record,” said pollster Jonathan Zogby.
What’s more, his approval rating among minorities was solid and, in the case of African Americans, shockingly high. Zogby said 36% of blacks approve of the president, as do 37% of Hispanics and 35% of Asians.
Approval among independent voters is also up, to 44%. And “intriguingly,” said Zogby, 23% of Democrats approve of Trump.
It was the latest to show that Trump’s approval went up during the Democratic National Convention. Rasmussen Reports had it at 51% at the end of the convention.
In a shock from past election years, Joe Biden got no convention poll bounce, according to a newly released Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The Republican National Convention still has two days to go. Last night's address by first lady Melania Trump won good reviews. Tonight, Vice President Mike Pence speaks, and Thursday is Trump's night.
Pollsters have been somewhat at a loss to explain the rise of Trump’s approval ratings, considering that there has been little positive news to help his standings other than the peace deal he helped negotiate between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
Zogby, in his analysis, took a stab at the reasoning.
First, he said, his and other polls are confirming that the nation is nearly evenly divided politically and that despite some showing a big Biden lead, the race is extremely close. He suggested that the battle is for the “10%-20%” who haven’t made their minds up on who to vote for and who likely won’t make up their mind until Election Day, just like in 2016.
“We are as polarized a nation, on a level not seen since the Civil War,” said Zogby.
He also said that the violence playing out in cities such as Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Portland, Oregon, are pushing urban voters to Trump.
“Another factor continuing to help the president’s high approval rating is a rise in crime in our nation’s biggest cities. Unlike a year ago, the president is performing well with voters in large cities. It’s highly likely he is benefiting from the uptick in violence. His law-and-order message is resonating with urban voters at the moment,” said the analysis.
And he also suggested that Trump’s focus on issues important to blacks, including the economy, jobs, and criminal justice reform, has boosted his support among the voting group that traditionally goes all-in for Democratic presidential candidates.
“The president is also improving his job approval numbers with African Americans and millennial African Americans, which is a trend we witnessed last year. Trump has been making the case that he has done more for African American voters, by way of prison reform and previously low black unemployment, than Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, both of whom have been accused by the president for increasing incarceration among African Americans for generations on nonviolent drug charges,” said Zogby.
