This is why my Math Honor Role daughter was screwed out of the college of her first choice.
But in the end I think she did better by going to a local University.
She's going to be working on her Masters in Computer Science next year. But so far she's ahead of most of her peers, She is debt free and already has a $60K yr Job.

It's a badge of honor to get in with money, connections, social position or fraud. The kakistocracy needs well trained, well honed, point-on psychopaths rather than mealy low level sociopaths or bleeding hearts. Being an elaborate, successful fake is in and of itself a qualification and preserves face.

"Playground: A Childhood Lost Inside the Playboy Mansion" Jennifer Saginor, daughter of Hugh Hefner's corrupt Dr. Feelgood doctor sidekick, brags about forging her way into one of the Seven Sisters.

Just out of curiosity...

For a private university, is paying the soccer coach money to give your kid a recommendation a crime? As in: a crime in the legal sense? How is that different from endowing an academic chair — money is going to a member of the faculty either way. Is the crime a "process crime"; i.e.: failing to file a 1099 when paying the bribe and failing to file income taxes when receiving a bribe? I fully agree that the coach and parent broke their contract with the university and could be fired/expelled, but that's a civil contract, not the breaking of a legal statute.

It'll be interesting to see the details of the charges. I'd assume the state-runs schools have more strict rules protected by actual laws — it's actually illegal to bribe a state employee.

Maybe she can explain to stupid Rep/Cons what happens when debt can't be paid back.

There is no such thing, they'll print more money, inflate currency, cost of bread will skyrocket, poor will riot as usual, middle class will be wiped out long before that due to high taxes anyway, rich elite won't care since they'll own the government. Something along those lines...
