I saw this. Tom Friedman?!?! Holy shit.

TrumpingTits says
The world is about to get what Peter Zeihan calls The Absent Superpower as the old Cold War/Bretton Woods/WTO system is no longer maintained by America.

What's happening is that we're abandoning Cold War era policies of trying to pump up Japan and Germany at at own expense, to which China was added, but have long outlived their usefulness to the point the American dream for many is on life support.

China can't keep cheating the system. Each time they make pledges, do nothing, and then come back and try to exchange the promises they never kept for the status quo. "This time we won't steal the IP and make the Fentanyl, we promise!"

Germany is also cheating the system. They have cut their military spending to the bone, it's not a fraction of what it was in the Cold War, but expect the US to foot most of the bill for Europe's security, while refusing to follow the US lead by importing huge amounts of Russian natural gas and doing everything possible not to get on board with Iran Sanctions. The get the free protection, reap the benefits of America arming Ukraine and keeping the Straits of Hormuz open, while double dealing on the side with Russia and Iran. Oh, and imposing EU wide regulations and tariffs to exclude as many US goods as possible, while going after US Tech leaders Google and Microsoft whenever possible.

That's only half true. Germany and other countries should be able to import energy from and trade with whomever they want, but they should also build their own defense force with their own money. The issue is that Germany and other European countries are reaping the bad "fruits" of decades of US-led meddling in the middle-east, most recently by Obummer. And I'm fairly positive that there was more than subtle pressure by at least all prior US governments on Germany to take the brunt of the rapefugee fallout so that the US doesn't have to have anything to do with this. Europe is a convenient buffer between the US and the middle-east. Trump is the only president who has shown support for European governments taking their country back and protecting their heritage while the globalists thumb is still squarely on traitor Merkel, importing rapefugees by the millions. Germans are paying through the nose for this and many elderly are close to the poverty line with meager pensions while rapefugees get free housing healthcare and cash. The only people cheating in Germany are the government and globalist companies.

Possibly it was Obummer.

I think it was Merkel attempting to put on a "Nice Guy" face for Germany after they Fugger-Squeezed Greece. It backfired, because all the Eastern and Southern Europeans saw Merkel as being kinder to non-Europeans than Europeans.

I believe the neoliberals in Europe want migrants to prevent rental income collapses and unavoidable wage increases from a shrinking population, but they ended up with welfare Arabs and NAFRAs instead of the Trademen Turks which they expected.

Right the only solution for Western countries is to go back to nationalism/patriotism, supporting families and family values and increase the birthrates of their own. Hungary and Poland have shown this works. Many European countries have shifted patriotic/conservative recently, many to follow. Trump can be credited for starting that trend, which is now lead by Salvini, Orban et al. Germany is not lost yet, the anti-mass-immigration AFD is getting more and more popular, despite the constant Nazi smears by the leftoid press. It's coming. I agree that it would have been better to apply some of the money that went to rapefugees to Greece, after helping Germans first of course. However the greek government abandoned their people a while ago with rampant corruption. Many rich connected folks weren't paying any taxes while the country was hurting for money. They bank loans by the Germans and other banks aren't a big problem, the Greeks should just show the erect middle finger to the banks (which aren't really national anymore but globalist juggernauts mostly bad for their own country) and default on any outstanding loans their politicians shouldn't have accepted in the first place. Getting kicked out of the EU is a non-issue as other countries have shown already. It's the corrupt Greek politicians feeding themselves only on the EU trough that wanted to keep negotiating and selling out their country. I'm slightly optimistic the EU will fall apart and come back together as it was intended in the first place, as a pure economic and military union, without the corrupt overhead gaggle in Brussels feeding on taxpayer money.

Totally Agreed. The Greeks should have re-embraced the Drachma. It would have made Greek Goods and Tourism more competitive, and lowered prices for the locals, but the Rich Greeks who own everything like everything in Euro Denominations.

That Bald Greek Guy - VwhateverPolus - whose name I forget advocated just this.

I think Germany's transformation is coming, and the Neoliberals are racing against the clock. The upcoming EU Parliament elections should be very, very interesting.

Other good news is that Macron is very unpopular and the Marine is rising rapidly. I think the French realize there is no old fashioned "Centrist" option, they have to go with the nationalists to defend their country.
