If it was a 40 year old White Guy they'd blast his name all over the news and openly speculate about any potential ties to "White Supremacy".

The shooter is the victim here, and never forget it. He needs a statue at the site.
Which is why it hasn't been revealed by most of the Press yet and will be passed over very quickly.
