Boies knew all about the bootloader issue but decided on his own that it was too esoteric to sell to a jury. What a fucking asshole.

Then MSFT came up with bootloader lock and that entire market was nuked - and it's still fucked. The case Boies brought changed fuck all about the real problem and its disposition had some ancillary benefits at best.
Google will hire snipers to take out the government lawyers and the jurors and ship their entire company to Vanuatu in zeppelins just to make sure they're never fucked with again.
