I started reading JJ Luna's How to be Invisible recently, and find that is has a lot of good practical advise for taking back control of your data. The book is a bit dated, but the primary focus(physical privacy), is timeless, and the techniques still hold true. He has updated the book with chapters on cellphones and internet, just started the cellphone chapter. That's actually one where I'm still on the fence, because even though a home phone does reveal physical location, I don't think the receiver can be activated like the mic on a cellphone can. But overall, really good read so far, definitely recommend.

I read this book and it's great. Especially about separating property into LLCs as Frivo Lawsuit/Stalking Defence.

Didn't read the updated version with Internet advice.

Even the updated version is fairly dated, but still has some good practical info.

What I liked about the LLC's was transferring property by transferring articles of incorporation. Great idea for families!

The stories about how the guy avoided being pounced on by a jealous cop, and the family that avoided the "Shopping Cart Ram Scam" by having registration of vehicles and LLCs for them (in different states) was great.
