I’m pretty sure all those millions of trafficked individuals might have a different take on things.

That's for damn sure.

Budget to spend less than you make each month, spend no more than 25% of take home pay on house expenses, have an emergency fund with 3-6 months of expenses in it, invest 15% of gross into retirement, NO DEBT other than a mortgage if you must! Be different, be weird, don't be a fucking sheep/tax cattle getting milked by banks and loan companies.

You can walk away from all debt but student loans.

Modern slaves are not in chains. They are in debt.

C'mon Tovaricpeter, I only asked to borrow a quarter!

I think those that live off entitlements are bigger slaves than those in debt.
Those in burdensome debt, did it to themselves. If it's because of shady terms, then we have to wonder why Elizabeth Warren is running for President. Rather than serving prison. Because she championed and passed a bill to put a stop to predatory lending.

The problem is the kind of debt. We need more federal Small Business Loans, a Small Business Administration that fosters and facilitates needs and niches in communities. I think that is what they are working on with "Economic Zones". My hope that wont be another Affirmative Action thing where you have to have the right amount of Dark Skin pigment to participate in those programs.

We need less debt for useless degrees, and more green light funding for creative entrepreneurs with the right business plan that can pass the muster.

they are waiting for government to do everything for them.

If you don't have debt: don't worry, the government will be happy to borrow in your name.

The Debt boogieman has never scared me. Things change in a minute with Global Economies. My Old man thought the debt was so high during Reagan he imagined it would quintuple by now. And it has, but before re-inflated again. There was a point America had a Surplus.

Also there's a huge chunk of our National Debt, that is money that is floating. We borrowed it, but we haven't spent it. Let's hope after the Barr investigations. He can seize so many people's assets in Washington for fraud and embezzlement. That much of that money gets put back as well.

We got Japan off our backs in the 80's by devaluing all of the assets they heavily invested, in America. Like NYC Real Estate.

No for taxes owed, they take away your passport.

North Korea would rather be poor than be in debt. --- Not a wise decision from my viewpoint

Modern slaves are also living paycheck to paycheck; they don't see any way out of the cage where they're paid to run on a hamster wheel for 8+ hours per day so they can pay their bills, eat, watch TV, sleep, repeat.

I know some of them.

Not wanting to be someone's slave I was a fanatical saver and investor in capital appreciation stock mutual funds. Now I can buy my freedom.

Guys who are deeply in debt of course are slaves; they work to 1. pay back debt 2. pay bills 3. pay taxes (money that goes to those who work less than they)

There is little left unless they take extreme caution with their spending.

Always amusing to watch a bunch of debt slaves vote for a lying cunt billionaire who made his money by declaring bankruptcy and leaving people like his voters with the bag! Or see them whine about how their jobs are being stolen by Mexican rapists so they have to go into debt to by a $50k pickup truck and an iphone.

Once globalization is complete, there will be nowhere to walk to.

All borders will be dissolved, and there will be only our all-seeing corporate overlords Google and Facebook.

They know what you searched for in your planning. They know who and where your friends are relatives are.

You will bend over and take it because none of us resisted enough to stop them back in 2019.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in chains.

John Lennon was actually a corporate stooge.
