??? Republicans do not have a "Congressional Majority." Republicans have a majority in the Senate, which is state based and cannot be gerrymandered. Dems have a majority in the House of Representatives, which is district based and can be gerrymandered.

It disproves your point when the Republicans lead in the part of Congress that cannot be gerrymandered, while the Dems lead in the part of Congress that can be gerrymandered.

How the Democratic Pennsylvania Supreme Court gerrymandered the State:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redistricting_in_Pennsylvania

The State Court, dominated by old Liberals, actually tossed out the State Legislature's map and made their own the map. That's how Republicans lost at least one seat in Western PA. And those districts were fair: To compensate that most of the population loss was Dem Gov Employees and Dark Blue Union Members retiring out of state

Two cases went to the Supreme Court, with the Dems arguing in Pennsylvania the Court Ordered changes were Democratic, while in the Maryland Case arguing their Gerrymandering, which took the state from 6-2 to 7-1 Dem vs. Rep seats and shouldn't be subject to Court Review.

Update: The Decision was in. While the Court says overtly racial maps can be negated in extreme circumstances, otherwise it's up to the Legislature. SCOTUS recognized that not only is political gerrymandering a political issue (and therefore not a legal issue and therefore not under Court Control), but the Framers were familiar with it themselves and did not regulate the practice.

And if anybody doesn't understand that SCOTUS nominees are absolutely vital:
ROBERTS, C. J., delivered the opinion of the Court, in which THOMAS, ALITO, GORSUCH, and KAVANAUGH, JJ., joined. KAGAN, J., filed a dis-senting opinion, in which GINSBURG, BREYER, and SOTOMAYOR, JJ., joined.
