Why can’t homeowners rent space to RV dwellers?

Homeowners can now legally park their unoccupied RVs in their yard. So why shouldn’t homeowners who do not own an RV be able to rent space to RV dwellers to park their RVs? It would get RVs off the street and enable homeowners to become Rentiers without having to invest in an ADU. And it would certainly help us manage our housing shortage.

Homeowners that don't take advantage of the RV rental space would miss out on the one single advantage and would only be getting the negative effects of a doubling of the density of population.

Will you be demanding to be allowed to raise livestock in your back yard next? I mean... really, put that 3000 square feet of dirt to "good" use!

That's how your 14 year old daughter ends up on a cross country manhunt for the guy in the RV that killed the family and kidnapped her.
Or kills your 5 year old son, and stuffs him in a barrel behind the RV.
Being an occupied land lord, is challenging enough. Without the added drama of a transient cooped up in a cage thrown in the equation.

I would be totally up to buying a house next to tovbot's and raising pigs in the backyard. Property rights, bitchez! And it will help to alleviate the "carnitas crisis"'we're all suffering from.

Do you really want people piled up on top of each other? We'll turn this nation into a shithole (it's already heading that way in CA).

We need more housing, more land to build on and not restricted. And it'll be fine. Build out more and more, suburbia, that's the America we believed in! I really dislike rent seeking, I get the business side, but I don't want government policies to be 100% around that. Housing should be affordable, and it would be if government wasn't fucking with it.

RVs are not per se a health and safety issue. Livestock is.

What ever happened to property rights?

Why can’t you open a whore house next to elementary school? :)

Society has one purpose, be a safe place to raise family. That’s why restrictions are in place on behavior. Btw we already have RV lords who do exactly what you said, they rent out 5-10 of them. Brings place down.

Don't give them ideas. When the Democrats legalize pedophilia, they will just see this as a recruitment advantage.
