I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2015, shortly before my identical twin brother died from throat cancer. I underwent radiation treatment at Kaiser and the treatment was successful. However earlier this year we learned the cancer returned and metastasized to my bones. I am continuing to work with oncology staff at Kaiser and lab results indicate i am improving. And I am very satisfied with the treatment I am receiving.
However my son, who is a cancer scientist suggested I get a second opinion and so I just signed up for it at Stanford. The reason I mention this is because many people may not know about this service at Stanford or that you do not have to travel to Stanford in person to avail yourself of it
Sorry to hear about your struggle, Peter. In sincere wish for your health, Please check out some mind-body workshops. I’ve struggled for years with various afflictions and the only thing that helps is going back to the mind/body connection and seeing what my problem is this time. Intelligent, conscientious people get it worst of all.
