Now to the case against Trump. This really is an attempt to frame and railroad a president who Democrats can’t beat at the ballot box.

First, can you imagine Republicans framing Obama over a phone call that someone heard about from someone else thirdhand? Think about the reaction from the media and other organizations.

How about if Republicans held the Obama impeachment inquiry in a secret room, with no Democrats allowed in and no way to cross-examine accusers. Can you even imagine the cries of “racism”?

How about if Obama’s opponent, Mitt Romney, was allowed to vote on Obama’s removal from office. Are you kidding? That would never happen in a million years. The guy who wants your job can’t possibly serve on your jury, right?

So how can Democrat senators running against Trump be allowed to vote on his impeachment? Obviously, that disqualifies senators who are also running for president: Sanders, Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Harris, Michael Bennet and Cory Booker. Add Kirsten Gillibrand, who ran against Trump until recently. That’s seven votes in the Senate that are hopelessly conflicted.

Take those seven votes away, and it is virtually impossible for Trump to be convicted. Trump should ask the Supreme Court to rule on this.

How about the main “whistleblower”? His name is an open secret in D.C. Guess what? He’s a registered Democrat, works for the CIA and worked for Obama, Joe Biden and a bunch of Obama officials.

It gets worse. He not only worked for Trump’s opponent, Biden, he traveled with Biden, was a guest of Biden’s at a State Department banquet and was involved in the $1 billion foreign aid delivered to Ukraine. In addition, Mark Zaid, the whistleblower’s lawyer, tweeted in January 2017, “The coup has started, impeachment will follow.”

The Democrats’ star witness, Bill Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, admitted in the secret hearings he wasn’t on the Trump-Ukraine phone call. It’s all thirdhand hearsay.

THe "transcript" Trump's Whitehouse put out has him saying, "but I want a favor though." His chief of staff admitted it, as did he, more or less and Rudy. They've got tons of proof that there was a quid pro quo. Republicans will argue process or other bullshit, but WE ALL KNOW HE DID IT. DO YOU HAVE THE INTEGRITY TO ADMIT IT ??

IT was a deposition and republicans were present !

Is this whole thing going to be total lies ? I guess were dealing with 2019 republicans, so probably, right ?

Yeah, it's true. A democrat is going to be less likely to look the other way when a President makes a totally unethical move like asking a President of another country to open a public investigation of a political rival.

You're convincing me of only one thing here.

I would love it if someone could explain to me why Trump is allowed to block key people from testifying.

Seems to me that is the most impeachable offence of all.

I feel like this country has been taken over by liars and scumbags.

And 35% of the country is just as bad. Deplorable in fact.

Can you admit Hunter is corrupt and profiting from being the son of a VP?

I thought this was still the inquiry stage? They now are just bringing it back into the public's eye after it flopping miserably a couple months back. I don't think anyone is required to testify by law. Just impeach him already and have the trial in the Senate where I think you're required to testify. If there's so much corrupt behavior, let's just get this done.

The reality is this is all political theater. I'm astonished the Republicans still haven't stated the fact that Biden isn't even a political rival at this point in time. Although the Ukraine President not knowing anything was being withheld and thought the meeting went well AFTER 3 visits with Taylor is pretty damning. There's no there, there based off of one representatives questions in a 5 minute time slot.

We should take bets on what's next. I guessing it will be an issue with Guam and a fax that Trump sent. lol.

Again this isn’t correct. It’s your fundamentally incorrect belief in what the law prescribes. Like seriously you are very very wrong. Quid pro quo isn’t a crime.

Executive Privilege. This is only an Impeachment Hearing INQUIRY, it's not even a real Impeachment.

Why else is the Intel committee handling it and not the Judiciary.

This is gonna be one weakass case, since Schiff opened his case with weak, hearsay witnesses that wouldn't be allowed in a regular Court.

There will be no impeachment, Trump will still be the president until November 2020.

The delusional idiot lefty liberal Democrats are amazing sometimes.

Ukraine gets free money from the American taxpayer; Ukraine corrupt officials give money to corrupt Hunter Biden to do no work.

Joe Biden is out of office; he is a private citizen. Hunter Biden is a private citizen.

Trump is elected president; he decides foreign policy, he decides which favors to do for which foreigners.

"Hey Ukraine, what the fuck is going on with the Bidens and the other crooks over there? I have a few hundred million bucks of free money for you but I want to know what you know about it."

The entire impeachment premise is total BULLSHIT; American taxpayer money (mine and yours if you pay any taxes) is being sent to a bunch of strangers in Ukraine and I goddamn want whoever is our president to get something for the fucking money.

Schiff is a clown and a fool; he can't change his behavior however and will never get a clue.

A pox on the Democrat fools and traitors.

If one only watched 5 minutes of testimony one really can't form an opinion only spout off a predetermined opinion.

How much did you watch? I watched every single fucking minute of it. Had free time yesterday. My point, which you didn't get, was that in 5 minutes the two main "witnesses" were utterly neutered and this entire impeachment was unveiled as the con job it was. Quote whatever retarded publication you want, I watched the entire thing as an independent, hell was making comments here as it was devolving into shit, but hey, you know better.

It's all a joke.
13   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 Nov 14, 10:01pm

It's possible this is a final desperate attempt to stave off the fallout from the IG report and Rudy's Ukraine-Burisma investigation.

Trying to make a weak claim, although never prosecuted that "Trump peddled influence too." - more than an actual hope to impeach him.

Most Americans, despite the Media, can see the difference between Kerry & Biden's kids being paid by a foreign company and threats of aid cuts if a corruption investigation proceeds, and Trump asking for assistance (per a 20+ year old Treaty signed by Bill Clinton) into inappropriate quid pro quo by Biden's family.

People can see the difference between:
"My guys at the DEA gave your guys the Dossier 3 months ago, Guatemala. Give us more info on the Drug Lord El Chupacabra and the Import-Export Bank of Seattle, or your aid package might be delayed."
and
"If you don't fire the prosecutor investigating the company my kid directly is getting paid from, AND the US company he's affiliated with is also getting paid by, I'll stop your aid even though you're in the middle of a conflict with Russia. Call Obama if you don't believe me."

In real law in the USA, sometimes people who are absolutely guilty have cases thrown out due to improper procedure or improper evidence handling by the prosecution. So, if anything, the Democrats should remember that not only do they have to convict Trump of "high crimes and misdemeanors," but the process is important too. A large number of the voters believe that the process is important to maintaining legitimacy.

The Schiff-show we're seeing now is being carefully filtered by the fake news media, but if this goes to the Republican-controlled senate, there will be no media coverup. It will be a complete disaster if McConnell chooses to have a complete and thorough investigation. The timing of the senate trial couldn't possibly be worse for the Democrats...
• There are 6 Democrat senators (including front-runners Warren and Sanders)) running for president. Are they going to spend 6 days a week for 3 months doing their senatorial duties instead of running in the primaries?
• There are more than a dozen Democrat senators and many more house Democrats who are up for re-election who represent constituents who voted for Trump. That'll be an awkward thing.
• The fraud and abuse towards Trump will be exposed, making Trump a sort of martyr and giving him the sympathy vote. Many people will say that Trump deserves another term because the Democrats and deep state succeeded in ruining his first term.

Hmm, looks like u are leaving a bit out. Oh yes, here is what the Constitution says,

"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

Yes, treason and bribery too, for sure. But the anti-Trumpers haven't generally been pushing either of those two angles.

CNN is like media in China or Russia, where they answer to one party (ORGAN of the Communist party of China, ORGAN of the Progressive Wing of Democratic party here). The only difference perhaps is that media in China or Russia do not THINK that they are independent, while CNN/NYT do, and thus they are more stupid and/or delusional.

If any of these "scandals" were ever actually real, they would have still clung to them to this day. As soon as the Mueller testimony failed to do what they hoped it would, it's on to the next manufactured outrage. I find it hilarious that the resident libs on this board are no longer complaining about Putin or how "Trump is a rapist".

Game Plan to eliminate Trump

Plan A. Collude with Hillary, GPS and the Russians to win the election.
Plan B. Sway the Electoral College votes
Plan C. Overturn the Election results with recounts. (Recounts were abandoned when they resulted in more votes for Trump and exposing democrat voter fraud)
Plan D. Nullify the election by framing Trump with Russian collusion
Plan E. Have the Deep State take Trump out using the 25th Amendment
Plan F. Impeach Trump for firing Comey
Plan G. Impeach Trump for Campaign Finance violations
Plan H. Push Back: “If you see anybody from that cabinet.....get in their face”
Plan I. Impeach Trump for Obstruction of Justice
Plan J. Demonize Trump’s S.C. Justice nominee
Plan K. Impeach Trump for Money Laundering
Plan L. Impeach Trump for Treason
Plan M. Impeach Trump for revoking security clearances of people no longer in the government.

Plan Q. Give sixteen year olds the vote
Plan R. Eliminate the Electoral College
Plan S. Let imprisoned convicts vote
plan T. Use pictures of illegal alien children caged by 0bama and blame Trump
Plan U. Mueller Report findings....
Plan V. Mueller's 9 minute summary of Weismann’s 400 pg op-ed
Plan W. Impeach Trump for "racist" Tweet "if you don't like it here, go home"
Plan X. Mueller's testimony before Congress🤣😂🤣
Plan Y. Moscow Trump Tower

Plan AB. Convince voters we are headed into a recession
Plan AC. Recruit Establishment Never-Trumpers to run against him
Plan AD. Dox Trump supporters
Plan AE. Conspire with Silicon Valley to shut down any and all Conservatives
Plan AF. Change the whistle blower rules so literally anyone can fabricate a fake story based on hearsay

Plan AK. Impeach Trump for Quid Pro Quo
no wait, make that Bribery,
no wait, make that Extortion,
no wait, make that intimidating tweets
Plan AL. Since Dems know they can’t impeach, have a meaningless show trial to keep the word “impeachment” in the news. And coach the witnesses on their hearsay evidence.

That's the most absurb part, nobody has hit the Libcoms over the head with the fact.

They can and do come at Trump from all angles over everything. But you mean to tell the American public that a Democrat running for office is untouchable.
But the President of the United States is fair game and it's always open season?

The Libcoms would have us believe that running for office as a Democrat gives you immunity from everything.
38   Patrick   2019 Nov 17, 4:48pm

Notwithstanding the televisual spectacle we will all be treated to this week during public testimony, the Democrats have already made their basic case to the American people and to Republicans in the Senate. The dream of a few short weeks ago, that cracks would emerge and suddenly senators would start turning on Trump, is now dissipating as dawn rises over an actual vote on impeachment.

Like hungover frat boys who convinced themselves over the raucous night that they would road trip to Mexico the next day, the cruel sun is now glinting off their empties and discarded Juul pods, and they will be going to class after all.

The result? A huge win for Trump, any way you slice it.

Newsflash: Just as an example, nobody, not even evangelical Christians give a fuck that Trump hired a pornstar for sex when his wife was pregnant. So it's not that easy, even for a full fledged "libertarian" (Trump apologist) to claim that just becasue 40% of the public continues to like Trump that he is somehow provably innocent of any of what you fantasize are "not real" scandals.

Nice try though.

Yes, it is true that Trump is so busy with his scumbagary, that his critics will move on from one scandal to the next. But how ridiculously biased does one have to be to think that means he was innocent of the previous one, if it didn't get enough traction with the same crowd that thinks "hey he's just a regular American politician."

You can thank the right wing media for the fact that Trump gets away with all his shit.
