The Washington Times reported:

One of the companies in the 2015 deal was Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), a billion-dollar investment fund backed by China that was formed by Hunter Biden and Chris Heinz, the stepson of then-Secretary of State John Kerry.

The state government’s Aviation Industry Corporation of China teamed with BHR to buy Henniges Automotive, a producer of high-tech, anti-vibration components for automobiles.

“The direct involvement of Mr. Hunter Biden and Mr. Heinz in the acquisition of Henniges by the Chinese government creates a potential conflict of interest,” Mr. Grassley wrote in an Aug. 15 letter to Treasury

Note: This transaction between China and Hunter Biden and John Kerry’s stepson Chris Heinz occurred when Joe Biden was vice president and John Kerry was Secretary of State.

You've an Attorney General that is Trump's henchman, you've got a Republican Senate, you had total control of Government for 2 years. So if there was any real criminal activity to look into at some point you have to ask what's going on? All this "news" about corruption and next to nothing, virtually no indictments. Maybe, just maybe you've been snookered and there is no there there. How many Dems from Obama's time are indicted and or convicted? How many of Trump's campaign and supporters indicted or convicted? Lock who up? Who is in the swamp? Who's corrupt? Oh yeah, it's all alternate facts.

Why won't one side REALLY investigate the other? Our representatives don't represent us. They represent themselves and the people that pay them. The corruption is so obvious to anyone that wants to look.

Is Trump self interested? Of course he is. But it seems to be beyond money for him. I think he really does want to make America great, unlike the last few smug a-holes in the pocket of the intelligence-politico-media-industrial complex who we called president. Like @patrick says, "At least he hasn't started any new wars".

That's what I'm talkin' about. Why doesn't any one go to jail for these obvious conflicts of interest?

Answer: Technically it's not illegal and nobody sees the quid pro quo.

Let's start with Trump. Let's see his taxes. Then Pelosi, let us see hers. Let's have a public accounting of all "public servants", and their families, wealth, income, business connections, and taxes.

The founders intended for wealthy wise men to leave their business interests for a couple of years, do the difficult job of running the country, and then go back to work or off to retirement. We are now seeing how that has worked out for us.

“The direct involvement of Mr. Hunter Biden and Mr. Heinz in the acquisition of Henniges by the Chinese government creates a potential conflict of interest,” Mr. Grassley wrote in an Aug. 15 letter to Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin…

…The $600 million acquisition of Henniges gave the Chinese aviation firm a 51% stake in the business and direct control of the anti-vibration technology. BHR got a 49% share of the business.

“The appearance of potential conflicts in this case is particularly troubling given Mr. Biden’s and Mr. Heinz’s history of investing in and collaborating with Chinese companies, including at least one posing significant national security concerns,” Mr. Grassley wrote.
