Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville is “scared to death” of the November election. This election won’t just determine the next five years; it will also determine the future of the Democratic Party. And that future doesn’t look good, according to Carville.

The Democratic Party’s infighting has resulted in a lurch to the Left — a move that’s leaving the rest of the country behind, Carville explained, pointing to Iowa’s low voter turnout and President Trump’s growing approval ratings.

“What the hell am I supposed to think?” Carville told Vox. “It’s like we’re losing our damn minds. Someone’s got to step their game up here.”

When asked if the Democratic Party has “tacked too far to the Left,” Carville replied: “They’ve tacked off the damn radar screen. And look, I don’t consider myself a moderate or a centrist. I’m a liberal. But not everything has to be on the left-right continuum.”

Note: Carville has actually led the campaigns of successful Democratic Presidents, namely Clinton in 1992.

Losers are scared in general but some are just more delusional than others.

Who told mega creep demented Biden he could win a popularity contest?

A pox on them.

I read a version of this yesterday I think. He makes valid points, but like every single Democrat/leftist/progressive he still has to make it about getting Trump OUT of office. He does touch on getting candidates that can win in middle America, but the underlying theme is still get Trump OUT of office. Not winning an election and presenting ideas that would be BETTER than Trump's ideas/policy or at least on the "radar screen" with Trumps.

The current field is more focused on getting him out first and foremost and policy be damned. Then when they bring up policy it's some of the most batshit crazy stuff that is literally the complete opposite of WHY Trump was elected. And they think that's going to get them more votes? Weird times.

Beside the fact that all of the democrat choices are horrible, the polices that they do tout are straight up un American. How can you go up and tell Americans many of which are struggling and talk about all the ways you are going to help illegals? How can your choice be based only on if you can beat the current president and not on policies to make America better even if the other side doesn’t agree with how to do that? Everything out of the democrat’s mouths is about beating Trump when they need to look in the mirror and ask themselves how were we so bad that Trump got elected in the first place.

What Carville is really saying: "I think Trump is bad, but dammit, Trump is heaps better than any of you clowns currently running."

Right, with lots of gratuitous statements peppered in of ORANGEMANBAD! Otherwise the Democrats might get suspicious that he’s gone off the plantation and needs to be excommunicated from the Church of the Rabid Left.

Wait, is this political humor thread or just more wishful thinking?

Typical... doesn’t get it, doesn’t understand, and so imposes his silly interpretation onto the piece.

I'm on ignore by Jazz, but you're the one that just shit all over the political humor thread with absolute nonsense over the last 24 hours. Is there something you wanted to discuss with regards to Carville and his comments in this thread? He speaks a lot of truth, but still is butthurt over the spanking Hillary got. You're free to do what you want, but stick to the topic on hand chief.
