Could you imagine Walter Mondale using 50's doowop music to connect with the youth in the 1984 election?

If that Roger Waters clown is irrelevant to Pink Floyd fans, and has been since 1982, and he's irrelevant to his own band he made this music with.
What makes Commie Sanders think youth will connect with "Us and Them", they are just going to look at each other and say... "Pshsh Gawd! That was Random!"
They were told there would be lawlessness and unrequited head busting! They aren't signing up for Geriatric Oldies hour at the Assisted living facility.

Roger Waters, the bassist of the band Pink Floyd — which was good, like, 25 years ago — ripped President Donald Trump as a “tyrant and mass murderer” and said his supporters have turned the America into a “fool’s hell.”

Waters made the comments at an event Tuesday in New York City in support of 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders. At a Q&A to promote his concert film, “Us + Them,” the moderator of the event said the film showed Waters’ music getting its message of “humanism” to connect with young people all over the world,” Fox News reported.

“Funnily enough, they are [connecting to that message], but unfortunately not f—ing here,” Waters said. “Because if they were, you wouldn’t have Donald Trump as a president, you wouldn’t be having all this nonsense with the Democratic primaries, with them trying to destroy the only candidate who can possibly win against Donald Trump, Sanders.”

The 76-year-old continued, saying, “We’re living here in a fool’s hell. The United States of America is not a fool’s paradise; it’s a fool’s hell. And watching [the film], it reminded me that the great battle is the battle between propaganda and love. And propaganda is winning. And sadly, the buttons of the propaganda machine are being pushed by people who are f—ing sick. These sick, sociopathic f—ers, all of them, every single one of them. Believe it or not, Donald Trump is somewhere down here, floundering around in the muddy water at the bottom of the oligarchic pool.”

Ah, the “oligarchic pool.”

Actually it's a bigger generation gap than my title suggest it would be more like Mondale using 40's era swing Jazz, Benny Goodman blowing his denture gums into his clarinet to get the youth to get out and vote. "How about this little ditty Kids?" (Doot doot toot toot)

Yes, because the 90s was the last generation of Rock 'n Roll and everything's been pretty much go nowhere, since that time period. Really, if you factor out the smart phones, has there been any change in style or substance since that time of music?

Here's Matchbox 20:

That was a generation ago and it looks like any street festival, since then.

Contrast that with the 1950s ...

It's like two different universes.

In addition, Rob Thomas is a far better singer/musician than most of the losers today.

And he wasn't even among the best of his time period, as Chris Cornell, Tom Yorke (Radiohead), Tony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Pepper) were clearly his superior.

There are 200,000 troops deployed overseas today

Throughout the Cold War, there have been US troops scattered around the globe. So today should reflect a bit of that past ...

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/u-s-military-personnel-deployments-country/

Let me add up ALL the mid east countries of Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain (no war there), Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, UAE, and what's our total .... 34K-35K?

Wait! Where's everyone else?

Let's see ... between Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Germany, that's already 109-110K? Hold on ... aren't those areas outside of active or grey war zones? Wait, so is half our overseas armed forces out of harm's way, living in post Cold War boundaries, awaiting post-Soviet and/or communist attacks?

I think this is finehoe atte...

In other words, what Roger Waters needs to write about it, is why did Obama have a 'Surge' in Afghanistan within the first two years of office, sending in 35K troops (& 65K civilians) while everyday, in the final months of Trump's administration, we haven't had one major escalation in the near east?

I guess 'talking trash' is genocide.

Seriously, these ppl need to take remedial math.
