Looks like they are pulling everything they can to slow this down, so we don't end up like Italy with millions in hospitals and thousands dying. Of course logically they can't prevent it, they can only slow it down in hopes that vaccine will be made in time. As long as there is at least one sick person, it'll eventually make it's way around the nation.
I don't see it as more contagious than the flu. The best data we have is from the Diamond Princess. After weeks of ideal circumstances for the virus (confined spaces, no containment zones, plenty of sick people wandering around), about 19% of the people onboard came down with the sickness. Normally during flu season about 8% of the population comes down with it I don't buy this talk of super contagiousness.
