‘Border Security Is Also Health Security,’ Trump Says at Rally.

Now check out this piece, January 31st:

Public health experts have warned that travel bans are not effective
at stemming the spread of a virus and can make responding to an outbreak more challenging.

“From a public health perspective, there is limited effectiveness. And then there are a host of other reasons why they can actually be counterproductive,” said Catherine Worsnop, who studies international cooperation during global health emergencies at the University of Maryland.

The World Health Organization, which declared the outbreak a global health emergency this week, has recommended against any travel or trade restrictions in response to the outbreak.
Member countries, however, do not have to comply with that guidance.

“Although travel restrictions may intuitively seem like the right thing to do, this is not something that WHO usually recommends,” said Tarik Jašarević, a WHO spokesperson. “This is because of the social disruption they cause and the intensive use of resources required,” he added.

...

“People want their government to do something when these outbreaks are happening, and adopting a border restriction is a visible policy that people think works,” Worsnop said.

Enacting such a ban would go directly against the recommendation of the WHO
, which has said countries must inform the organization of any travel restrictions they put in place.

Imagine if Trump had followed WHO and "Very special important academic experts" back at the end of January. He'd be blamed for following their advice; this is just one of many pieces criticizing Trump for shutting down air traffic with CHY-na.

Feb 1st - China angry at US border shutdown:

Feb 10th - Even VOX admits CHY-na lied about the severity:

So at first Drumpf was too cavalier about closing borders and downplaying - based on Chinese Reports accepted by WHO - the severity.

In February, the Media was more concerned with calling it Coronavirus instead of naming after the location as normal (ie MERS - Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, Ebola - named after the African River) and UNJUSTIFIED RAYCYST Panic against Chinatown and China and Chinese impacting businesses and encouraging RAYCYST! Behavior.

City officials are urging people to continue visiting Chinatown. On Saturday, the commissioner of Small Business Services dined at a restaurant on Mott Street.

http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/2020-02/16/c_138787253.htm

February 18th - The real problem is XENOPHOBIA! and RAYCYSISM!
In Arizona, a burgeoning Asian American community fields xenophobic calls about a planned night market featuring Asian street foods. In New York, a dim sum restaurant owner worries he won’t make rent. In the San Francisco Bay Area, a local Asian American-owned restaurant chain is mulling temporarily shuttering one of its properties because of the downturn in trade.

https://globalnews.ca/news/6563834/chinatown-restaurants-suffering-coronavirus/

February 21 - CNN: Real Problem is XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS!
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/02/20/us/coronavirus-racist-attacks-against-asian-americans/index.html
(CNN)In New York City, a man assaults a woman wearing a face mask, calling her a "diseased b****."
On a Los Angeles subway, a man proclaims Chinese people are filthy and says "every disease has ever came from China."
Rampant ignorance and misinformation about the novel coronavirus, experts say, has led to racist and xenophobic attacks against fellow Americans or anyone in the US who looks East Asian.

(I think this was the one where the media hesitated to ID the race of the assailants, but those who know the Subway, know it was America's" Most Oppressed Race" doing the Racism - as usual).

February 18th - International Legal Experts and Health Scholars say imposing travel restrictions are RAYCYST! and break "International Laws"

Doesn't he understand the way forward is dense cities with mass transit under the control of empowered technocrats under a regime of rationing and regulated reproduction?

He's ruining us making this crisis and opportunity for our world view!

And don't forget the constant pushing of the Chinese Gov Narrative, that China has conquered Wuhan Virus and is ready to distribute masks and tests to the world in a sign of leadership:

Except they're of typical Chinese Quality:

Democrats and Never Trumpers have to be absolute idiots to push this line of argument when we have soooooo much video from major Democrat politicians, Media and even WHO doctors telling everyone to not panic and live their lives.

Worse - we have plenty of video of these same morons calling Trump raaccist for closing borders back in January while they were telling everyone to go hug a Chinese and party in Chinatown........while they were aping Communist China's propaganda.

Sorry Democrats - there is no way you are going to be able to turn this into a Katrina on Trump. But don't let that stop you from trying to divide our nation during a time of crisis with lies and half truths. That is what you always do...

It's funny to see the cult members coming out and defending the stupid, self congratulatory, ignorant, oblivious, lying, denying, and incompetent statements and actions from the dear leader.

Maybe there is a not so fine line between optimism and putting your head in the sand, denying facts and counting on a miracle?

What does the worldwide urbanization trend have to do with Trump incompetence?
Yeah we are no longer living in a world where most people live from agriculture. This doesn't depend on American leadership.

What was President Trump supposed to do? In say February?

On average, Italian cities are more (far more) public transport dependent and many European cities have higher density than US cities - older, too. The way to have an older population on average is to discourage natalism among healthy, productive adults.

Well, considering that CNN has a death count running 24/7 on their news station and they fail to highlight the following:

1) The death count per day actually dropped in the US the other day : https://trendingpolitics.com/breaking-daily-new-u-s-coronavirus-cases-fall-for-the-first-time-in-7-days/?fbclid=IwAR2DNLgZmL1dSZY4iwA3cifPgg_JJVwrRa2Z1pxP9_DFDnIskQK7fZFPQkI

2) 250 million units of hydrochloroquine were ordered and it was effective in NY hospitals : https://www.wsj.com/articles/an-update-on-the-coronavirus-treatment-11585509827

3) The UK no longer classifies COVID-19 as a a HCID (high consequence infections disease) : https://www.gov.uk/guidance/high-consequence-infectious-diseases-hcid#status-of-covid-19

The media is spinning the hell out of this. Why do you think people have lost trust in CNN/Wapo. Come on, you can't be that dense.

He’s very direct, no bullshit. He’s a guy who gets things done, and talks accordingly.

LOL
Yeah no BS: "Anybody that needs a test, gets a test.", “We have it totally under control. ... It’s going to be just fine. ”, ...

Gets things done: Are you talking of the $2 Trillions porcopulus or backtracking on several things he wanted to do?

Anyone with a mild capacity to think for himself would see Trump as he is: A BS artist that realityTVed his way into office, and can't hide his ineptitude anymore.

He has the leadership skills of a vegetable.
