Post your thoughts on the aftermath of the Andromeda Strain Corona Virus time period - say, End of April through to Convention Season this Summer.

Will the Media finally be able to convince the public it was OrangeManBad, and not Chinese Lies and Misrepresentation?

Will Biden be substituted for Cuomo or even Madame Secretary?

What will be other impacts - Economy, Stock Market specifically, International Tourism & Trade?

I think the # of deaths will come in way less than the upper boundary #'s they've been trying to panic us with. This will, of course, be a fortunate outcome. They will mount a concerted effort to prevent Trump from claiming any credit. Further, they will try to attack his platform, and him for:

1) being unprepared in general (more articles like "trump fired our pandemic team. O.M.G we are SOOOO lucky were like not all dead right now.")
2) more negative spin of his good moves ("Trump closed all travel between chyna to quench his racist thirst, not to stop the pandemic he doesn't even believe in - oh btw look at this 1.2 second clip of him calling the pandemic a hoax")
3) negatively comparing Trump to other world leaders by cherry picking scenarios where the other leader did something, but Trump didn't, or did something different (aka orange man bad)
4) any praise or props he gets from other leaders will be delegitimized and characterized as kissing his boots out of fear (bully!), or more quid pro quo.
5) A flurry of short, small deep dive articles will focus on how the stimulus money is ebbing and flowing through the economy. Emphasis on the rich getting richer, big hydrocarbon, big corporate, big bank, big bad man, raycism etc...
6) Articles invoking wealth inequality, by comparing and contrasting the effects of income interruption to a person who lives paycheck to paycheck vs a rich person. Of course, the person's actions will not be faulted, but Trump's actions sure will.
7) A call for "change" to repair "the very fabric of America" after this catastrophe.
8) Lots of emphasis on attacking Trump for suggesting there's a line where the economy & money might be worth more than some human lives. They wont hesitate to follow this news segment immediately with item #6 above, because NPC's won't notice.

All that anti-Trump could backfire on them. For example, most voters will likely agree that banning flights from China early on was a good idea, and campaign ads can show the Dem politicians being actively against that ban, thus putting Americans more at risk. Also, all that ballyhoo about "over 200,000 deaths" will make it look as though Trump's action prevented that major calamity as well.

This is the cunt who on Feb 24 urged people to visit Chinatown in SF because "virus? what virus?".

Just like NYC Officials, Elected and Appointed, were encouraging people to gather in large groups, attend parades, and visit Chinatown all February long.

This. Not usually paranoid or a conspiracy theorist, but everything about this stinks.

I think the aftermath will be a slowly improving economy because people will keep consuming.
Some businesses will continue to suck, like WeWork, cruise ship companies will suck.

Stocks will creep up because interest rates are low.

I think that after April 30 if you still can’t go to a park people will get pissed off.
Soon new cases will fall a little and we will yell.

I think a lot of restaurants are toast and I don’t care because I have changed my interest in most of them. I’m lately wondering why I spent so much money in them while I was in Florida. No more of that.

Travel will be slow for a while; I was planning to travel a bit this year and that’s off for the time being.
I’m not planning on going to China anymore.

I don’t think that orangeman is going to be blamed for the problem, eve if jerks like Pelosi try to do that.

Guys who invest might call this the “black swan”= unexpected event which fucks up the stock market. I guess this was it.

A month ago I was feeling fine about my net worth, how fleeting such feelings are.

In response to the escalating spread of the Wuhan virus, President Trump suspended entry visas for people traveling from China in late January.

Biden, instead of praising this clearly wise move by Trump to protect US citizens, responded with:

This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia – hysterical xenophobia – and fearmongering.

Everyone should REMEMBER THIS and keep pointing it out.

The Left has just one move: accuse everyone of racism and sexism all the time. Even when the country is being gutted by treasonous execs. Even when we are threatened by a pandemic.
10   Ceffer   2020 Mar 30, 11:08am

I'm waiting for the 'generated' public perception' blame game. Who will take credit for 'stopping' the fictitious non-Pandemic, and who will get blame for 'failing' to stop the fictitious non-Pandemic?

Of course, all of our agitprop repeating stations will get their apparatchik marching orders and scripts and start bellowing the LibbyFuck Progressive chimes.

It looks like the powers that be are gauging the fear and loathing titer to see when it might turn into rage, reaction and retaliation titer when the dumb herds begin to suspect they have been had. Riding that beast is going to be an interesting spectacle.

It looks like they are beginning to pull back from their panic strongholds right about now, so the stoked Panic Pandemic has a new half life of perhaps a week or two before the publicity fiat is pulled, and the descending angels of new disinformation arrive. The public will simply no longer tolerate the shutdowns, and will start congregating in spite of. Seeing De Blasio's blatant unilateral and authoritarian abrogation of the Constitution by threatening to shut down organized religion was interesting. It shows you what they REALLY want.

Mission at least partially accomplished, but it still has unpredictable consequences. One wonders that the Progressives have any toes left after shooting themselves in the foot so often. I don't think Trump will suffer.

How long until they stoke the mantra "The Trump Over-Reaction That Killed The Economy?"

80% chance we're gonna hear some variant of this:
"Cuomo, not Trump, stopped Wuhan Virus from conquering NY (...and thus USA)"

Neglecting all the behavior of NYC and NYS officials pushing mass gatherings and fighting travel restrictions all February long.
13   Ceffer   2020 Mar 30, 12:15pm

Talking to people around the hood, I am impressed that the fear factor looms large, as well as the desire to maintain faith that the government is working for purely altruistic motives. The question is, when does that backlash into recognition that this is a manufactured fraud, if ever?

The Pandemic Panic Machine exploits the 'tyranny of small numbers'. Otherwise intelligent commentators reveal that they have no sophistication when it comes to interpreting medical conditions or medical information, or any statistics about death or disease. It's like shark and mountain lion attacks. Push a spectacular exception into people's faces, they go berzerkers and think it is a common or general thing. All of the diseases and accidents that have occurred in the meanwhile are completely ignored in the face of the Covid-19 publicity fiat.
14   MisdemeanorRebel   2020 Mar 30, 12:20pm

Like that 40-year old Gay man (likely drug/steroid abuser and HIV Positive) in Miami a day or so ago. "It's killing normal healthy adults now, OMG!!!" while ignoring the other people in the area were all over 80.

Like the Globalist Daily Mail, flexing its fake news muscles to the limit with purposeful, transparent misattribution, fakery and fear mongering. They want the Oscar for irresponsible yellow journalism.

The Sun is even worse. They're full on anti-American, their top story is NYC having a refrigerated morgue truck which apparently proves OrangeManBad.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that you are going to spinning 24/7, everything Trump has done and hasn't done in the past 4 years was a disaster, especially his handling of the crisis, even when the stock market claws back 30% of the decline by September.

What would you have done differently? Who are your experts? I don't like Trumps reaction to be honest, but you or I have zero clue. The epidemiologist are even talking out of their ass with a brand new virus.
