A Southern California paddleboarder was arrested Thursday for allegedly violating the statewide “Safer at Home” coronavirus order, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Lifeguards near the Malibu Pier flagged down county deputies from the Lost Hills station after they said the unidentified man ignored their orders to get out of the water, the department wrote on Facebook.

The bill of rights must be suspended until the crisis is over.

Fucking lifeguards in SoCal is a special breed of Nazis: instead of sticking to their title job, you know, saving lives, they took on enforcement of alcohol bans, leash laws and now the fucking SIP orders.

One of these fucks once drove literally half a mile out to the ocean on a narrow sandbar to inform my BIL that his dog's leash was longer than allowed. I kid you not. They were alone on the sand bar with no other people or dogs anywhere near them but the fucking fuck had to abandon his post and drive all the way out to go full Eric Cartman in the middle of nowhere.

Malibu paddleboarder arrested for violating stay-at-home order

Lemme see: He was certainly practicing safe social distance, plus sun and salt water destroy viruses like CV-19. Maybe if he was an illegal he would have been fine.

He can thank Garcetti for that one

Yes, his error was not dealing drugs, or committing a felony, burglary/public assault before going out.

Let's sing the Stalin Song: "You don't create terror by persecuting the guilty, you create terror by persecuting the innocent!"

What's fascinating is how common sense is lacking from those who are making rules and enforcing them.

You are not likely to catch Wuhan virus from going on a hike, a walk on the beach, or paddle boarding; I haven't seen people run up to strangers to hug them or shake hands in these places.

Santa Cruz County has some strict rules in place; in several weeks there has been one death and he was a sick person over 70.
In this same time period, there were a couple of homicides by comparison.

Since here the homeless are exempt from the "shelter in place" stuff the whole thing is nonsense. They can't legally exempt one group and enforce on another at their whim.

I heard about this one from my wife. “But why was he arrested?”
“The Beach was closed”
“Doesn’t seem like he was on the beach”
Idk?

I remembered another story of busybody lifegards in SoCal asserting their "authority" over citizens: there was that Armenian guy walking down the pier with his GF and him (or her) smoking a sigarette. A lifeguard sitting on the tower there chewed him up publicly for it and was promptly told to go and fuck himself .... err... concentrate on doing his job. Instead of taking this very sound advice the fucking Nazi in red trunks descended from his perch and started grabbing him (or his GF) for which he promptly received a well-deserved ass-whooping. Of course it went downhill from there with police, arrest, charges and all that jazz. The question is: are we really-really paying these guys to enforce smoking bans too? What would happen if somebody started to drown while that fuck was enforcing some regulations, irrelevant for the job he was hired for?

And remember, it is for the children, that reason always pulls at the heartstrings. “Authorities” use the its for the children lie to justify all kinds of tyranny.

Charge him for manslaughter, and smoking?

I wondered about the irony of that.

I suppose that free elections are society's check on that most valid point.

While you're at it, assess him a carbon fee for the carbon footprint his surfboard caused.

Nobody releases anybody for now - judges have put the kibosh on that stupid idea:

"SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Federal judges on Saturday refused on procedural grounds to order California to free thousands of prisoners to ease crowded conditions that attorneys representing inmates likened to a “tinderbox” ready to ignite with the rapid spread of the coronavirus."

It's not over, though, and the fucks will keep trying.

If you killed or violently assaulted/robbed somebody bad luck in jail is something you should have considered before you became a violemt criminal fuck. Letting those people out would set a dangerous precedent. How about we care for law abiding citizens first.
