It's time for a rebellion. Every out-of-work American and every out-of-business American business owner needs to open their windows and shout it, shout it so loud it reaches President Donald Trump, Congress and every swamp politician from Washington D.C., to New York to Boston to Beverly Hills, California.

it's been 3 weeks, chill out... this is just giving hospitals a chance to staff up and resupply so babies don't die because the beds are all filled with seniors on ventilators. Or one of the 100K car accidents that happen with everyone on the roads can't get life saving surgery cause the hospitals are at capacity.

What should have happened is instantly all mortgages should have been refinanced with a 6 month extension... no payments for 6 months and it's tacked onto the end of the loan.. so instead of say a 20 year mortgage.. you have a 20 year and 6 month mortgage. When you refinance a loan.... that's how it works anyway pretty much. Same with rent and commercial real estate loans... who should then pass on the 6 month forgiveness to renters.

I understand the despair of small business owners.. and they should have been assured rent/mortgage breaks immediately backed by the federal government. Maintaining payroll is much trickier proposition. But the sooner we get the hospitals what they need... the sooner they get a handle on things and we all can get back to work.

I don't know why people think mortgages are the only expenses landlords have to pay.

Now if they federal govt steps in and PAYS the rent then fair enough. So long as there are no strings attached.

Otherwise, GTFO!

Yeah... that's what triage is for. We won't and never will have the hospital capacity for major events like this. People keep throwing around the term war. If that's what this is, certain segments (older generally) of the population need to make a sacrifice. Either stay home or understand that a hospital visit will result in you dying likely. It's really not that complicated.

25% or so cannot fuck up the future of the 75%. We need to open back up. And don't tell me young people are dying either. So far they mostly have been AIDS carriers or fat fucks. AKA underlying conditions through their own fault. But hey... I can't even have a burger and a beer at what is usually a half empty bar at this exact moment in time because of a tiny fraction of the population that will die from this...

Haven't held investment property in a decade, but I don't get some of the hatred towards landlords. I know there are pieces of shit landlords out there. 9 out of 10 times it's because they've been fucked over by piece of shit tenants though. Fact.

And no, I have no issues with the majority of renters. My wife and I plan to bounce around in our retirement years renting in the Caribbean. No interest in owning. Renting is fine. But instead of getting pissed at the landlord in most cases, you should probably be pissed at your fellow renters that have fucked up the reputation of renters.

I think it's mostly a blue state thing. The governments fuck the housing situation up in those states and people go and blame owners. Slumlords suck though but I would imagine dealing with those types of tenants would suck too.

In lots of cases I'm aware of in San Antonio and surrounding areas the landlords are old (often very) and that is their retirement income.

By the way @cash I like the title of your thread. I too saw, "The Network", filmed in the 70s but I saw it only a few years ago. Great flick!
