https://chicagocitywire.com/stories/530092711-roseland-hospital-phlebotomist-30-of-those-tested-have-coronavirus-antibody

A phlebotomist working at Roseland Community Hospital said Thursday that 30% to 50% of patients tested for the coronavirus have antibodies while only around 10% to 20% of those tested have the active virus.

Sumaya Owaynat, a phlebotomy technician, said she tests between 400 and 600 patients on an average day in the parking lot at Roseland Community Hospital. Drive-thru testing is from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. each day. However, the hospital has a limited number of tests they can give per day.

Owaynat said the number of patients coming through the testing center who appear to have already had coronavirus and gotten over it is far greater than those who currently have the disease.

If accurate, this means the spread of the virus may have been underway in the Roseland community - and the state and country as a whole - prior to the issuance of stay at home orders and widespread business closures in mid-March which have crippled the national economy.

A recent study of 1,000 people in the Heinsberg District of Bonn, Germany found that 15% of the population had contracted the virus, many unknowingly and without symptoms.

Of those, only 0.37% died from COVID-19, a figure much lower than those previously cited.

Results of the antibody tests in SoCal and Santa Clara should be interesting. Anyone know what the Vegas odds makers are saying?

Yup! I'm sure what ever shit was going around that got everyone I knew back in January was the Corona Virus.
That's why I'm not sweating it.

I was in close contact with two students who came down with corona. I was on their committee/taught a class so I talked to them quite a lot. Either I am/was asymptomatic, or I had it before all this brouhaha started.

doubt it, unless you are into MM (not that there is anything wrong with that)...both self-identify as males

80 percent immunity is herd immunity, at which time the immune members of the population immolate the virus and it has no more pathways to the uninfected.

All of these destructive policies aren't geared toward saving lives, they are geared toward prolonging the 'crisis' and delaying herd immunity.

There is something wrong with that.

Homosexuality spreads disease via spread ass cheeks. More than 600,000 have died in the US alone because of homosexuals spreading AIDS.

It's kind of like eating bats and pangolins. Not just a preference, but a pandemic vector.

@Patrick,
there is something wrong with a lot of things we do, but we still do it. Promiscuous sex, even heterosexual, is a vector for spreading disease - may be less than for homo's, but it is still dangerous, and as such wrong by the same logic you apply WRT to homo's. It is also wrong by Bible, just like homosexuality, and may be even worse - there is something about not coveting thy neighbor's wife in 10 Commandments...and don't throw the first stone etc.

My philosophy is that the more homos are out there, the more pussy for us heterosexuals. As long as I am not forced to celebrate diversity and/or whatever alternative lifestyles, I am fine with all this. Sadly, though, forced feeding of that via MSM makes me much less tolerant lately.

I am much less tolerant of all this outside Patnet as I feel that I have to make a point that I do not want to be force-fed PC acceptance of all weird lifestyles if that makes sense.

Consequently, all these idiotic shutdowns just delay acquiring efficient herd immunity.

The Bonn study looks more useful than the results of tests from people who actually go to the hospital to get tested.

Here's the paper: https://www.land.nrw/sites/default/files/asset/document/zwischenergebnis_covid19_case_study_gangelt_0.pdf

0.37% result is pretty bad news IMO. That's like 1M deaths in America. The result is based on the current death count, but we know that deaths are a lagging indicator so by the time deaths from currently infected persons are recorded it will be higher than that. Terrible news for the "it's only flu" crowd.

Nonsense. You're assuming every single American gets infected. That is NEVER the case. A good pandemic infects 25%, maybe 50% total. A super pandemic maybe 75%. Now many already have antibodies, so if you assume say 20%-40% have been exposed and survived you have to subtract those. Then you have to subtract all those old folks who die of something else in the meantime and get replaced with children who are immune. The absolute worst case scenario ever at least half way credibly projected was around 200k. My guess is we come in around 50k-60k max, similar to the currently revised projections, actually a bit lower. So yeah it's pretty close to a bad flu pandemic season where they made bets on the wrong strains in the vaccine. Still a shit year but nothing to sensationalize in the news 24/7. And nothing to lock the whole economy down for.

Children are not immune, they are just unlikely to suffer severe symptoms.

So? If they're not dying suck it up buttercup.

ThreeBays says
If you assume 50k-60k fatalities in this wave, again you can infer the exposure to reach only 5% of the population so 95% of USA would still be vulnerable to a 2nd wave.

Why would you assume only 5%? 95% of people won't even be tested for this and symptoms are very much non existent in healthy people. It's pure lunacy for anyone to put a number on the people that have had this virus. It could be 5% or 50%. And then to extrapolate death rates out of a number that can be off by a factor of 10 or 20? This isn't science or math. This is playing darts blindfolded after being spun around 10 times.

During the 1918 pandemic, it was estimated 28% of US population was infected.

There is more to it. When government rewards something they get more of it. They are rewarding homosexuality, like a new religion worshipping men porking boys. So you get more of it.

But let’s consider that most homosexuals, there’s data on it, are sexually or emotionally abused children, yet abusers aren’t punished. Others are simply immoral assholes who think it as status symbol... men like EdBuck who loved fucking young black boys while drugging them. Killed 3 before feds sent him to prison. CA wouldn’t come after him, didn’t want to be homophobic. As if gays have more rights than normal people.

Abused children that turn gay, they have major mental issues, they like virus try to spread that because they don’t know how to get out of that self destructive lifestyle. Instead of helping them, that shit is being normalized instead. That’s a very bad thing, very dangerous.

Lastly just stupid priorities where needs of good and healthy population are ignored, but @wants” if crazy people are government priority as it was in CA last few years when all homo TDSers got elected here.

This shit costs a lot to society, and talking honestly about it is squashed like we are a communist dictatorship.

The obvious solution is a combo cock/ass strap on for woman designed to be worn backwards.
The libbies get to drive it in an ass and shift the stick while the eventual destination is as god designed.
Procreation, however, is ruled out as getting by all that plastic eats up 2 inches minimum...

That is a different issue (a fact as opposed to moral statement) and here I agree with you 100%. It is an obvious result of oppression culture (look, I am oppressed, or was oppressed 100 years ago, so give me money). Does not matter if a person is gay, transgendered, or whatever - what started as fight for equal rights, has degenerated into something which is opposite to equal rights, namely, they now demand more rights than anyone else.
