Stanford immunologic survey already shows Covid-19 no more lethal than standard flu, maybe less:

In spite of, you can tell that Dr. Jay Bhattacharya is still afraid of powers that be and doesn't want to ruffle them.

Danish study reveals Covid-19 20 times less deadly than WHO claims

More immunologic studies coming out over the next couple of weeks. These immunologic tests were only available recently.

Huh, they seem to have been taken offline.

No wait, it's just really slow. Could be that someone is trying to slow them down with excessive requests.

I can see that the hoax subscribers and perpetuators are already weeping for their panic. Why don't they just find a nice Nigerian prince who needs help transferring 50 million dollars and is willing to pay a commission?

Article linked to in the OP has a great phrase: "fear porn"

it's like the world is all on their computers daily now, mentally whacking off to the thrill of fear.

Porn is such an old word it's actually ancient Greek: From πορνεύω (porneúō, “I prostitute”)

All of the mainstream media have become pornographers, lacking in principles.

The Legacy Fake News Press is now officially the Psychopath Press. They don't care what they destroy or how they lie and subvert. They are backed by crude psychopaths whose machinations have often become detached even from motive or purpose.

Please knock some sense into the person next to you who says this is like the flu.

So at it peak it killed almost as many 70 year olds as heart disease. Oh no!

Is that why there are 30 million people out of work? Is that why we spent trillions of dollars of money we don’t have in less than a month? Liberal logic is really off the rails. Got news for you, 100% of us are going to die some day. No matter how much money we spend, no matter who is president and even if we all lived in a bubble with no infectious diseases, 100% of us that are alive today are going to die (unless we go in the rapture) some day. You can not change the fact that all are destined to die. Do you fear death?

People will use what you fear to control you. I suggest that those who fear death seek out the Creator for only then will they find peace.

Where are the piles of baby corpses? Baby corpses work better than photoshopped graphs.

Does that include FOX & all the other Right wing media.

Have to agree with you @HEYYOU that Fox News is also not to be taken any more seriously than CNN. Fox is on the other side (sort of), but definitely chock full of spin, not that interested in truth.

I've been practicing for over 30 years, and have never seen a winter flu act like COVID-19. People seem pissed because it isn't really killing that many people - certainly not like the 1918 flu - but that's because of our swift, severe response to the threat. I was in a facility yesterday and there were ISOLATION signs up and down every hallway.

I do realize that we are trampling on people's rights to congregate and live their lives - and I understand that they're broke and frightened. I wish we could let them all resume their lives somewhere that it wouldn't affect anyone else - but a pandemic doesn't work like that.

There are no easy answers. But this shit is real - and it's terrifying.

No, it's killing people with heart disease that would have died, but they're now shifted to the Covid column. That's the problem with this virus. There's no standardized way to classify a death if someone tests positive for it worldwide, but also had a bum heart, kidney or lung. If you're in poor health prior, you can't blame a virus that isn't killing other healthy people. You're in poor health for other reasons that were going to kill you. Timing doesn't matter.

I agree that the sickness is severe and I don’t want to catch it.
Edit: I agree that it can seriously injure or kill the individual while it’s generally a mild illness for most people.

I disagree with the response by the government to it.

Recall the way we catch a respiratory illness, a mask is very useful for prevention.

“There is a shortage of masks”
“Only some people should have a mask, everyone else will be thrown out of work and unable to go to a park or a beach for a month.”
This is obviously wrong, the government should have made an effort to get masks, show people how to make their own, and get us all wearing them so we can go about our lives.

Didn’t Fauci say “I don’t need a mask, I tested negative”?

When AIDS started its pandemic, some suggested abstinence from sexual activity, but reasonable people suggested condoms and avoiding risk groups and risky behavior.

A month ago we all should have had a mask and stayed at work, instead they are destroying our economy and telling us to stay indoors which is unnatural for us.

Yes, I agree, Wuhan Virus deaths are over reported. And even at the peak we don’t see mass casualties, thank God. Oh, and let’s not credit the unconstitutional lockdowns either. Look at Sweden, no lockdowns = no mass death. In fact, their “curve” looks almost identical to places that did heavy lockdowns.

I agree with the rest of your comment and somewhat this part of it. The virus itself has infected multiples more people than we've tested. It can kill, but it's also extremely mundane if that makes sense.

It thrives in the places that we all already know. Not schools, not arenas, not restaurants, but old people. Specifically those with severe compromises to their immune system, which does include a fraction of a percentage of those under 50 or so. It also appears that living in close quarters is another red flag. Those that left NYC when this started were brilliant if they went to less dense places.

It's going to take time to learn the "science" of the virus. How about we just react to what we know. Density, age and immune issues or sick should be quarantined. We don't even need a test for this, we already know who is ill. If we shut down nursing homes tomorrow that would cut deaths by 20%. We're all going to get this, we just need to keep it away from the people that die.

The calculated Panic Pandemic atrocity relies on the fact that 99 percent of the population still treat medical issues as fear based superstition. Combine that with manipulative professionals and captured government entities, you certainly have a wide window into which to drive tanker trucks of disinformation and opportunism.

I forgive most people because getting an objective view of such issues is difficult. The medical establishment is forced to cater to superstition for the same reason that politicians are forced to address public perception, even when dead wrong and flogged into hysteria.

The cynicism of this manipulation is worthy of a James Bond movie.

Covid is not going to be the last "pandemic.' We need to make people get a tattoo of their shot record put on the arm.

It doesn't seem to matter how much countries lock down, the curve is the same. From the link in the comment above:

It turns out that the peak of the virus’ spread has been behind us for about two weeks now, and will probably fade within two more weeks.

Our analysis shows that this is a constant pattern across countries. Surprisingly, this pattern is common to countries that have taken a severe lockdown, including the paralysis of the economy, as well as to countries that implemented a far more lenient policy and have continued in ordinary life.
