Zero dollars is not a living wage, why don't they protest that?
Laughable!!!
Booger saysLaughable!!!
Because you don’t think it’s true or because you don’t want it to be true?
The fact is that if you put the pay scale floor at $15, but expect skilled labor to work for that or slightly more than that, you’ll lose all your manpower to the business who ups their pay the same amount. In California the minimum wage is already $13/hour, and believe me the wages for other work like grocery stores or other retail had to rise to outcompete the low wage jobs.
All this contributes to inflation tremendously!
Which can be good news if you know what’s going on and have some money to invest.
Bad news for pensioners.
Bad news for the wealthy.
Shaman saysNope. I expect a minimum wage increase to NOT cause people making more to get a raise. Expically with unemployment being with unemployment being what it as and unlimited immigration now.
Correct. What will happen if a $15 min wage comes in in a area where $8 is the staring wage is that employees will lay off the unskilled and replace them with better qualified people. If they have to pay more, might as well get more. Also, with the anti-labor Dems in power, you can make your employees "gig" workers (bribes by Uber/Lyft/Amazon suppress worker's rights), hire illegals (enforcement will be "racism"), or for your more skilled fellows, there is HxB or offshoring (bribes by Apple, Microsoft, Buffet).
I should be able to pay some kid 5 bucks an hour to watch my dog. I shouldn't need to file a w2 and have workmen comp insurance to do so.
But what is your fascination with people "Not getting raise".
Number one the bulk of any open businesses right now are big Democrat donors. They are making biggest profits in the company history.
Number two it's not Small Businesses. Small businesses are the most affected and shut down though all of this.
But it wont stop them from pushing more Immigrant labor, and pushing for benefits for illegal aliens.
