California state average retail for 87 CA blended gas on or about 2/14/20 before this whole nonsense started was $3.50/gallon. As of 4/24 the average was about $2.74, a drop of about $0.76 cents/gallon.

CARBOB gasoline spot 2/14/20 week price was $1.891/gallon, on 4/24/20 week price was $0.462/gallon; a drop of about $1.429/gallon. They're retaining about $0.669/gallon (extra profit vs. previous position) in cost that is not there. This needs to start being talked about. The rest of the countries RBOB blended spots/retail gasoline prices have moved relatively closely, where as we're still getting fucked hardcore.

I posted this before. Due to taxes and refining costs our gas can’t fall below about 2.10 a gallon. The Arco near where I live is at $2.23 and that’s the lowest I’ve seen.

The rest of the country gets 1990 priced gas. California residents get bent over and rammed hard sans lube.

What I am saying is the blenders/retailers are getting about a $0.67/gallon premium on the fuel they are selling right now. Above and beyond what they normally get. Wholesale vs. retail price adjustment comparison. We haven’t even gotten near the floor for structural taxes and fees to be affecting an artificial bottom yet.

74 cents a gallon tax

Gas as low as $0.97 in other states.

That’s a $1.71

How much is added in California for additional refining costs compared to other states?

Like I said, $2.23 at the cheapest Arco I know. Non Arco is generally over $2.70 a gallon.

There are extra expenses when doing business in California. The oil majors know the state is going to sue them for some global warming BS. They may charge more, but after factoring out the added litigation expenses, the oil companies aren't making more themselves.

Also, CARB requires cleaner gas which is more expensive to make.

I'm honestly waiting for another gas tax hike. Whenever it drops below $3.00 a gallon, they add more tax. I'll be like Europe soon. Only the landed gentry will be allowed driving privileges. Regular workers will be forced to take mass transit only.

And they'll balance the budget, ruined by housing subsidies for Rapefugees, by taxing mass transit - just like France.

Gasoline is about a $1.50 a gallon in the Florida panhandle.

It was about $2.75 a gallon before the pandemic and the recent decision by Saudi Arabia and Russia to increase production.

Same in Texas, I paid $1.49 yesterday for 87 octane.

It has less energy density too. All my cars improve their mpg ## by at least 10-15% when running on American gasoline compared to the donkey piss they call fuel here. So we are basically paying more and getting less.
