The current protocols for gender-dysphoric youth, Levine stated in a 2017 speech, outline a two-step process: the prescription of puberty-blockers during the first stages of puberty, and then, after continued counselling, the introduction of cross-gender hormones between the ages of 14 and 16. Then, around age 18, the patient may undergo surgery. But, as Levine noted, there are sometimes exceptions. In certain instances, Levine has said, surgical procedures may be performed on patients under the age of 18.

Levine, however, has noted that doctors may discard the protocol and significantly “accelerate” the process when dealing with “street kids,” who do not come into clinics with their parents, and who may be tempted to buy hormones off the street. Note paragraph 2, where he suggests that when dealing with "street kids" (kids that come into the clinic w/o their parents), they should "go straight to hormones", bypassing the first stage where they just use years of puberty blockers. Now, on the other hand, if you were, uhm, "panicking" and "considering buying hormones off the streets" then we have an accelerated process where I can skip the years and steps, and just give you hormones today, skipping all those icky steps. It's like they're trying to bypass parents with junk like that. They know that if they implement such a bypass process, that kids will hear about it and want to jump the gun. Instead of the kid having years of counseling + puberty blockers, of which they can stop taking if they later change their mind about their identity, they want the child to go straight to irreversible hormones, making sure to lock the child in.

I'm not certain, but it kinda sounds like there's a chance the parents aren't involved in this decision???

Kinda sounds like they're preying on children, trying to get them to make an irrational decision. They want to hit the children with media propaganda, and mandatory gay training in schools so they can confuse them into hopefully coming in as a "street kid" so they can bypass psychological evaluations, puberty blockers, and parents, and take the child straight to irreversible hormone treatment.

I really hope I just have this wildly wrong in my ignorance. This is sick. Then again, many of these people are mentally ill, and I wouldn't put this past a sick person to do this.
