Most fearporn is indistinguishable from paid advertising, because it isn't news. I'm convinced that organs like Daily Mail were paid bigly to run distorted panic inducing stories. When the money dries up, so does the fearporn.

Yeah, the guy has several of the deadly "co-morbidities" one of which is the obvious obesity, and yet he survived it.
Hearing him talk about "god" understanding and helping etc. reminded me that there were lots of bible thumpers down there which surprised me. Dude, god made the Chinese and the virus too if you think god "made everything."
For most people it's been blown out of proportion since hardly anyone we know has caught it.
What amazed me is how he could be so fat in that warm climate; I lost weight when I was in South Florida without really trying.
Fat people always find a way somehow I guess.

I’ve noticed that the majority of fearporn relies on ANECDOTAL evidence. “Bbbbut a baby died of Covid-19!” “Bbbbut some kids are getting Corona Virus in their Kawasaki disease!” “Bbbbut this lady nurse DIED of Corona virus!”
Basically it’s all the same: pick an extreme outlier example who looks similar to the majority and scare your audience with their case story. It’s no more representative than covering the tragedy of cystic fibrosis or a fatal car accident. But it’s FEARPORN!!!

Doesn't sound like he's mocking Covid to me, it sounds like a faithful person putting his faith in the Lord.
