Democrats are far more likely to live in counties where the virus has ravaged the community, while Republicans are more likely to live in counties that have been relatively unscathed by the illness, though they are paying an economic price. Counties won by President Trump in 2016 have reported just 27 percent of the virus infections and 21 percent of the deaths — even though 45 percent of Americans live in these communities, a New York Times analysis has found.

Yes, but they died clutching their welfare checks to their grifting breasts, as the Founding Fathers didn't intend.

Obviously most dems live in the more densely packed urban areas where there virus has more hosts per sq mile. But look out Mr and Mrs. Maga this virus knows no party affiliation:“The pandemic that first struck in major metropolises is now increasingly finding its front line in the country’s rural areas; counties with acres of farmland, cramped meatpacking plants, out-of-the-way prisons and few hospital beds.”

“Many of these communities are isolated and hard to reach. They were largely spared from the disease shutting down their states — until, suddenly, they weren’t. Rural counties now have some of the highest rates of covid-19 cases and deaths in the country, topping even the hardest-hit New York City boroughs and signaling a new phase of the pandemic — one of halting, scattered outbreaks that could devastate still more of America’s most vulnerable towns as states lift stay-at-home orders.”

And economic impact is not good for Trumpish areas. I am guessing its because more people in the higher tech urban areas can work from home.

“In states Trump won in 2016, 23 people have lost a job for every 1 person infected. In states Democrat Hillary Clinton won, 13 people have lost a job for every person infected.”

“Put another way, in Trump country, the virus’s greater pain has been economic, which helps explain why support for a swift reopening is so much more intense there.”

No. Just no. You can’t just cite biased opinion pieces(that you don’t even link) and expect that it’s considered evidence or support of your opinion.

A few tiny counties have outlier numbers of cases. That’s it.

Are you really this desperate to hold onto your leftist beliefs?

Cuomo also forbade Nursing Home visits by Family Members, while sending COVID sufferers INTO Nursing Homes where there were no COVID patients, infecting entire wards. Funeral Gatherings also banned.

Great Management of a crisis!

Another blow to Agenda 21. The control-freak globalists want everyone crowded into big cities where they can be more easily controlled. Those who dare to defy, and live in rural areas are vilified by the mouthpieces in the media on a regular basis, are now sitting back and smiling, knowing they made the right choice.

Wtf happened to bend the curve? Name one county in the US where hospitals are in danger of being overrun. Open up now!

I haven’t worn a mask in 3 days now. Don’t miss it. Although do on rare occasion get stupid remarks.

Everyone is just dying at home now. Easier to do that than go to the ER and have them shove a tube down your throat to make your body stop doing it's natural function. Save some gas money. Gotta look at the positives.

Yup, yet they keep projecting, that it's the Trump supporters that will die if lockdown is lifted.

Also they keep saying it kills blacks and males more. But not according to the Florida Covid tracking site.

Doctor in NJ told me they now have 9 whian virus patients at the hospital. 90,000 appointments or surgeries put on hold.

I rarely go to the doctor. My previous thorough check up was 1994.
I paid through the ass for Obamacare so I got a check up a couple of years ago.

Now I am in California and I paid an insurance premium, so I thought I would see the doctor they assigned to me. My plan allows me to have a yearly visit.

I called to make the appointment and the female said that there is a two month delay.
I asked why: “It’s because of the Corona virus.”

“Can’t the doctor wear a mask like my dentist does?”

There's little point to go unless you don't feel well. Your standard checkup isn't going to detect pancreatic cancer until it's too late, or you go there looking for a specific disease. That's a horrible rabbit hole to go down being a hypochondriac.

If I feel bad I go. Stop taking pain relievers as well unless absolutely necessary. They're destroying your liver and masking what could be serious ailments. Pot is okay I suppose, but the more you mask pain, when it does occur you keep taking more. Or more dangerous shit. My MIL pops Tylenol twice a day. I tell her she's a fucking idiot. She still loves me though, lol.

"But the divide in infections has been exacerbated by the path the virus has taken through the nation, which is not always connected to density. In some parts of red America, cities have been virtually unscathed and the sparsely populated outlying areas have been hardest hit. Researchers have also found links between the virus’s effects and age, race and the weather, and have noted that some of the densest cities globally have not been hit as hard."

So it doesn't look like NYT is arguing that it's density alone. More like density+donkeys. =))

https://politicalwire.com/2020/05/25/gop-risks-political-backlash-in-trumps-haste-to-reopen/

I'm in and have been to rural areas during this. They're not hard hit at all. IL, TN, IN, KY and WI. Rural areas are totally fine. Where there are deaths and cases it's usually the bigger town in the area with a nursing home. My town has no nursing home and we've had 1-5 confirmed cases with no deaths out of 2,400 people. That's a fucking pandemic in rural America? 0.2% of the population just testing positive? 0% dying? WTF?

Thank you for sharing the link though.
