North Jersey or Staten Island accent. I used to have that accent when I lived in North Jersey. I lost it when I moved to the Jersey Shore. Now, I have a Philadelphia accent living 45 minutes outside of Philly.
Peter Stuyvesant was in New York Harbor in a boat, looked over and said “Is tat en island?”
New Yorkers have heard of him and get the lame joke.
Guys I knew there had accents, the more they got educated the less it persisted.
Interesting a Staten Island guy who was a college grad got married young and his wife and in laws pressed him to make more money as a fireman. His wife sounds like the video girl above, he didn’t. But being in the fire department he developed the accent, probably to fit in. Now he sounds like Tony Danza, his brother doesn’t.
Way off on a tangent I remember seeing a sticker on my neighbor’s car “Jersey Girl”

I lived in the NYC metro area until the middle of high school and a lot of people talked like she does.

Ironic, accent is a turn on for me, but then again, I grew up there.
