It's embarrassing to mention, but it's not me, so who give a fuck. My sister in law got her 6th DUI last month. 3rd in the last 6 months. She should have been put in jail. They did house arrest for now because of COVID. She's never hurt anyone, but it's only a matter of time and she needed to be locked up.
We're running and hiding from a virus that we now allow stupid people to roam the streets, likely injuring and killing more. The stupidity has to stop at some point. I'm happier because restaurants opened back up here and that was one of the biggest things that pissed me off. But now we're seeing the fallout of stupid policies over a flu bug. We need to just open back up, do things normally and...
Can't go into the little market on the resort without wearing a mask, but worse WTF is up with suspending SINGLE showers at the pool area due to CV?

My nurse friend sent me the data from her health groups hospitals last night. Internal data. 22% of people currently getting tested have COVID in their system. Of 22 hospitals, 5 have zero hospitalized patients due to COVID. Half the others have 10 or less in house patients for COVID. The worst hospital has 91 hospitalized and it's in the worst part of Chicago. So unhealthy people. Deaths are dropping. This is the biggest hospital group in the region that includes parts of Wisconsin, Indiana and of course the Chicago metro area. ~15M people.
The vast majority, maybe 60-70% of people have been exposed to this thing. The data I'm talking about is current data. So if 22% of those tested right now have it, that means most got it...

The move led to some complaints from police agencies. There were instances of suspects committing crimes, getting arrested and released and then committing additional crimes in the very same day.
In May, Glendora police offered up an extreme example of the consequences of the policy: A man was arrested and released without bail three times in the same day for trying to steal cars and other property.
Police said they had no choice but to keep releasing him after the arrests because of the state policy.
The Judicial Council of California voted this week 17-2 to end the "zero dollar bail" schedule on June 20.
