Yes, but in this case, the moderates can win because Nathaniel Hale was a famous Yale alumni who was executed by the British during the Revolutionary War.
Hale U, all the way!
The Bay State, however, didn't allow John Harvard to own slaves. In fact, very few knew much about him and his statue in Harvard Yard is not from a portrait but from speculations of how he looked.
But John Harvard must have been a racist, because he was a white male.
What does Nathaniel Hale have to do with it?

He was a CT school teacher and too young to own slaves.
I suppose if he wasn't executed, he could have moved to New Orleans, after the Louisiana Purchase, and got into the slave business later in life.
That’s three strikes!!! How can anyone suggest (fill in the blank) is not a racist? Have you not been watching the news/propaganda? Report to the nearest re-education camp and see if your insanity can be cured. BLM inc!

For one, Hale and Yale rhyme. And Hale was an alumni of the school. It's easy to change one letter vs an entire name from transcripts, diplomas, signposts, etc.
And then, Hale was a martyr figure for the American Revolution. His last statement, that is if anyone actually wrote it down and not embellish it after the fact was, “I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country.”
Well, there you have it, a university, named after a Revolutionary War hero/martyr w/o the chance to own any slaves.
Left today: We must punish white people for something someone did a 100 years ago.
Left also today: We must not punish DACA children for mistakes of their parents.

After Yale changes its name to The University of DEATH! NEGRO! 3000!, they can change the school song to the theme from Shaft as interpreted by the 1973 CMCC Warriors.
When they said Yale or Jail, they really meant it. Clintons both Yale Law graduates.

Got it, so you're looking out for Yale in finding an acceptable way to appease the BRATS?
