People are not showing this on TV news shows.

The talking heads all want to spread panic until November.

Woe to you if you argue with a Karen about this; a female visitor is a big Corona Karen and she screamed at me for doubting the bullshit. I had been over at my friends’ place, a married couple and they too are skeptical of the pandemic here.

“Go fuck your friend! You guys get along!”
“She’s married and I don’t take suggestions about whom I wanna fuck.”

Wife had a run in with leftoid mexican't Karen - "why don't you use the whole sidewalk while not wearing a mask!" This in filth ridden SF, if Wuhan virus is your main fear you have been successfully brainwashed. leftoid Lamestream media: ZOMG! ALARMING INFECTION SPIKE! ORANGE!MAN!BAD!

One would think that the objective fact that the Wuhan virus is going away will eventually make its way into people's minds.

But will the media report that they were wrong? Never.

They're fucking hung up on new cases. Cases this, cases that. If the deaths are dropping and cases are increasing, what's the fucking problem? It's a simple math problem. My 9 year old has already asked why we're still shut down as much as we are when deaths are dropping.

I saw today people getting all worked up about new cases in Florida and some other places. And? If they're not dying, who the fuck cares? I don't understand the logic. And this is what makes me think the "story" has been planned. There's a virus alright, it's just being fucking spun for whatever reason. Journalism shouldn't be considered a white collar job anymore. It's very clear what they are at this point and it's kind of scary how much they can manipulate millions of minds.
8   Patrick   2020 Jun 22, 7:26pm

New cases are proportional to new testing.
9   theoakman   2020 Jun 22, 7:52pm

In NJ, our governor said literally, go out and eat outside at a restaurant, and please, afterwards, get tested. I guess because the numbers have gone way down here, they need to get them back up.

As the majority of German microbiologist have claimed, the fear porn was hyped based on lies and in parts absurd assumptions..We've all been cheated out of the strongest economy ever.

Get this, the one week average of daily new infections has been around 15 (for ~1 million inhabitants!) , yet there will be no normalcy in SF til mid August and you have to take the abuse from mask nazis unless you can secretly punch them in the face or scare them into shutting up.

I think Patrick but something up about this on another thread:

The New Yorker and others mislead. It's up to 12,000 total hospitalizations since March, up from 8000. That's because they revised the numbers going back to that point upon reviewing admission records, not because there were 4000 more hospitalizations in the past few weeks. At no point did ~20M Florida have more than 2000 in the hospital or more than 3.5% of all active hospital beds with COVID patients.

We long, long, long ago passed any need of "Flattening the Curve"

Because we're reopening.... More testing will lead to more positive results, but with more contact again more people will have it as well. If the number of deaths are decreasing though, I'm not sure the concern or why focus on new cases. We were feared into thinking this would kill millions in the US. That's clearly not going to happen based on trends and data.

We have a virus without a vaccine killing double a bad flu season and likely some percentage of deaths would have died of flu anyhow along the way. If antibodies protect against future infection it's very unlikely a second wave isn't remotely as deadly as the onset. We need to stop focusing on new cases that aren't killing as all it is, is fear mongering.

If new cases were scary and deadly, these two graphs would look different. And yes I know deaths lag new cases, but they're moving in opposite direction in a real big way and it's a good way for people wanting to stay alive.
14   clambo   2020 Jun 25, 7:40am

The panic spreaders are in the media and government; they hate Trump and success enough to ruin the economy indefinitely.
15   Shake85   2020 Jun 25, 8:30am

Republican governor is reacting rather vocally and businesses are voluntarily re-closing. I don't think this is just a conspiracy theory to politically skewer Trump.
16   Ceffer   2020 Jun 25, 11:01am

The saddest part of all of this is that the Panic Plandemic Psyops worked a pip. They filled vast segments of the population with fear and weaponized them against themselves and others with fake news, fake statistics and fake science. The notion of a vaccine is a complete joke. For Covid type virus, it has never been effective. This is just part of the plan to inure us to State Mandated inoculations. I am not opposed at all to valid vaccines, but they literally want the power to force us to put whatever they want into our bodies en masse.

Sad testament. It means that we are in for rinse/repeat cycles whenever TPTB want to divide and dominate with this fake pandemic strategy. If the psyops and disinformation/fake news experiment had failed, they would have gone on to some other scheme.

The best we could hope for is a 'cry wolf' or 'chicken little' outcome where the public can be fooled once, but become resistant to the psyops meme on repeated attempts.

So they re-close voluntarily. That's how it should be. Should not be mandated by government.

I also don't really understand what a virus has to do with Trump. The steps taken haven't stopped shit as we see with new cases. Trump isn't a doctor. If people wanted a doctor the Democrats should have got one in the spring or have a Republican challenge Trump that is a doctor. Instead we have Biden who needs to see a doctor himself. You can't really bash a real estate guy for not knowing medical issues and relying on people like Fauci that have been in this thing for decades and has flip flopped on his advice almost weekly.

The deaths are down, we should be happy less people are dying and not placing blame on anyone. Well maybe Cuomo, there were some physical fuck ups there. Otherwise I'd say most states are doing fine. Cases are going to jump. If deaths stay flat or continue the downward trend, who cares?

Herd immunity needs to be built, esp. by those who are asymptomatic to mildly sick only. They can hardly transmit it to begin with and then are immune for a while. I.e. the young and healthy. Ironically many of those are Karen's and the most afraid while seniors enjoy rounds of mingling n' golf and an Arnold Palmer without mask.

Patrick, I get that the trend line is going down, but you are more a data cruncher than me, so I was wondering if you had a theory as to why the graph has a sawtooth pattern.
25   Patrick   2020 Jun 26, 12:39pm

The weekly thing? That seems to be about reporting. They don't report the weekend deaths until Mon or Tue I think.

Note that the same site has California daily deaths very low and flat. The hysteria about "rising cases" is ignoring the fact that more testing means more cases. It's just the press playing the usual BE AFRAID game to try to harm Trump's economy.

All we should care about his hospitalizations and deaths, numbers that have some meaning.

That could be from bias in the testing. They might be testing people with symptoms. It is the same fundamental flaw with climate change consensus surveys. They need to do truly random sampling, not drawing a conclusion from a voluntary participation survey. By survey, I am referring to the testing as a survey. If you would like me to elaborate just ask.

I haven't heard a great explanation for why testing positive rates have risen so much in last few weeks. my guess is widespread general asymptotic cases, i.e. steps towards herd immunity.

so... if we have cases exploding, and deaths staying flat (like we have right now in Texas for example), how is this not a good thing? Ive heard that average age of new case in Texas is 30. Shouldnt we expect or even TRY to aggressively spread CV amongst 30 year olds who will largely be fine? Shouldnt we see a spike in CV cases with minimal corresponding deaths as a good thing?

As usual, Tony Heller dissects the numbers and supports Patrick's analysis. His videos are very informative. He has contributed greatly to fight climate change alarmism, and in this video he tears apart Covid media myths.

The best thing that could happen is letting it run through the 20s & 30s crowd during the summer. It's not that hard to not visit your grandparents for 2 months. Then, it can run through the kids in the fall. My father in law has had a weakened immune system and heart/blood pressure issues for the past 10 years. We've always made it a priority to not visit with the slightest hint of illness. It's not that hard.

Yep. I think we could be pretty close to herd immunity by Q4 this year provided we open up our schools and colleges this Fall.

Countries like Canada that have had a very low infection rate so far are going to wish more people got it to develop herd immunity when we ramp back up this Fall during Flu Season.

Question is does that involve mask wearing? IL is talking about making it a requirement to go back to school. I'm not okay with that. Good luck teaching 20-30 kids in a classroom with a fucking mask on. This whole scheme has been cute so far, but you fuck with my kids, fuck off.

There are no standards being followed for mask use.

Most people just throw them in their pocket or hang them on their mirror when not required. Others wear them constantly even alone outside or in their car. Many masks are meant to be one use. There are protocols for how to wear them and how to dispose of them. Nobody follows them.

Instead you have the "chin strappers" , the "nose exposers" and the people that wear recycled underwear.

Clown show.
